Poll: Do You Like The New Combat

The heavier a weapon the slower the swing speed, the lighter a weapon the faster the swing speed. You're also going to get less stamina drain on a lighter weapon. If you are have problems with: A. Swing speed being too low. B. Stamina drain being too high. Consider switching up what you run...

Poll: Do You Like The New Combat

The parry system does reward the defender actually. If you parry an attack your next attack will be treated as a fully charged attack for the purposes of damage even if you just swing and release. I was using this the other day. For heavier weapons by the time my swing landed they were easily...

Poll: Do You Like The New Combat

That's an anecdote, not evidence. Statistically, the average age of an MMO player skews higher than the average gamer in general. Thems just facts bud. The age at which you started playing is irrelevant. And I won't claim to know a great deal about MO1 but I played enough of the original game...

Poll: Do You Like The New Combat

Making this game turn based would require a total overhaul of the entire core premise of the game and would have like 2% support among its current audience. The only basis for reasonable discussion to be had is you support the general premise of the game. People who believe in a slower more...

Poll: Do You Like The New Combat

It kind of seems like you're trolling but I'll respond like this was a serious post. The turn-based combat would ruin my immersion entirely and the uniquely immersive atmosphere of Mortal Online is a huge selling point of this game to me.

Poll: Do You Like The New Combat

Honestly, if you're trying sell an immersion-based MMORPG you're targeting people in their 30s and up primarily. MMO audiences tend to be a bit older. RPG audiences tend to be a bit older. Then you're trying to market it globally on a single server so no matter where you put the server people...

FYI: Persistent Release (Early Access) Delayed Until March 2021

Smart move. If they need money faster then get an option to prepay subscription for MO2 up on the MO2 site with a slight discount for doing it early. At least I'm personally not going to spring for anything more than the standard bag but I'd consider prepaid sub if it's offered seperately.

Poll: Do You Like The New Combat

It's a subtle drop-off and I could be wrong on number. I remember if you do full tungsteel/ironsilk at 100% though you go just barely over. Running a lighter piece in one arm-slot is enough to bring you back under.

Poll: Do You Like The New Combat

Your max speed in combat sprint is 425. If you go over 24kg armor weight and 64kg inventory weight you'll notice that number go down. Mind you those values are based on your character's current STR and CON which are both very high. In most builds, it will be much lower and there are other...

    MO 2 world map

Pig Farm needs to be further west. As it appears on the map it looks like Pig Farm is right next to Fab. However, Pig Farm is a considerable run from Fab. It's much closer to Tindrem in-fact. I haven't timed it yet but Kranesh felt like a very short run from Fab compared to Pig Farm.

Poll: Do You Like The New Combat

The new combat feels smoother, more immersive, and more intuitive than if I log in and play MO1 right now. That being said asking how the current combat system is is like asking: "Welcome to the Age of Empires 2 Alpha. You can only create villagers and infantry. How good/balanced is the game?"...

    Combat Suggestions [Feedback]

Not really. I've said before earlier that a focus on balancing the "current combat system" is misguided. We're currently playing 115 con foot fighters that can run darn near a full set of tungsteel-plate with 0 movement speed loss. We could get most of that in the game launch but it would mean...

I don't think lower twitch builds should obviously be assumed to be "noob". I can agree, in its current form domination is... pretty darn easy. The tactical element is no greater than any other playstyle and the twitch skill needed is about non-existent. But if a lower twitch build has more...

I just hope minos are really good this time round because even a no aim scrub like me can probably land support spells on their chonky butts. XD Also hoping there is a lot of thought I have to put into when/where/what minion to summon as a necromancer to play it at maximum effectiveness.

    Combat Suggestions [Feedback]

I'm not asking for the game to be changed. Necromancy and domination both cater to players like me and I see both of them will be making a return for MO2. So the game suits me just fine. People are lobbying for a HIGHER degree of twitch skill. They seem to want the game changed. I'm kind of...

I'm assuming GE is an acronym for a certain leaderboard ranking in Counterstrike? Either way, it seems what you're suggesting is MO1 had a lower skill ceiling than CS:GO so it needed to be raised by making the game more twitchy. Ill assume your statement CS:GO had a higher skill ceiling is...

    Combat Suggestions [Feedback]

Given that chess has a higher skill ceiling than everyone in this conversation (Unless we have any grandmasters in here I'm unaware of) I get what you're saying but it's like saying. "Well yes but if chess were played while unicycling across a tightrope over the grand canyon the skill ceiling...

    Combat Suggestions [Feedback]

You're not wrong in saying that muscle memory is a thing and that practice can help compensate for low reflexes. But muscle memory is only going to help you get past a certain level of just naturally slower reflexes not to mention internet latency. You are wrong in saying "Making aiming easier...

Why we don´t need a flagging system

I don't think a flagging system will make it in for day 1 one of early access and I would argue it shouldn't because the lack of it is not something that's going to drive away the core audience who are willing to tolerate a fraction of the game. And if the community proves we're mature enough...
