Why aren't the guards killing the zombies?
Same reason they dont kill pigs and untamed horses. Because they are coded to ignore NPCs unless called or aggroed.
Why aren't the guards killing the zombies?
haha ya that guys your typical eso player he shoudlnt be playing mo2 it sucks all these idiots have ruined out one good pvp gameYes.
Amazing game now that fits perfectly for you.
Guards outside town. Congratulations.
Hey... have you ever played Elder Sceolls Online ?
Maybe it suits your style better. Go check.
You never lose anything there as well. Zero risk.
For whomever cares... go check the range of the city guards around Meduli.
Tell me if thats not lame.
There are other GY than just Meduli which are unprotected, go there if you want to kill nubs.
I understand the choice with Meduli, it was/is getting out of hand so the devs did this.
Also nothing strange about guards patrolling a bit outside of the city
It needs more tweaking tho, guards shouldnt follow you all the way out into the wilderness.
Was at Meduli graveyard this morning there were no guards inside it although clearly there are some extra patrols around the area of player houses to the north.
Imagine a kid killing new players in the zombie graveyard thinking that they are actually pvpinghaha ya that guys your typical eso player he shoudlnt be playing mo2 it sucks all these idiots have ruined out one good pvp game

No they're notMost of the alts with no guild, for example in Vada most of them are alts from Legion you can hear them talk
People don't care about guard patrols too much, they should be a thing within faction territories, just less clumped and more sparse. The issue people have is that it appears only a certain group, from a certain region, appear to have a bit of influence with their complaining, since what ever they see as an issue, gets patched literally the next patch.Guard patrols make perfect sense... all cities should have perimiter defenses.
The onky people this negatively effects are noob/miner killers.
Big trueIf a guild and their coalition of half a server can't handle a few rats, then maybe they should look to improve where they fail.

If they're going to add guard patrols, it should be for every guarded town. Patrols should be limited to regular guards lead by an elite at most. We should be able to parry guards again. The world is dead and most of the activity is in towns, only way to get people out is by killing one or two people outside. Adding a constant stream of AI to appease the group of people to stop the only way currently to get consistent PvP, will just kill what's left of PvP in this game.
Ultimately, MO should be reliant on players to carry out most of the punishment, AI should not be a deciding factor. If a guild perceives X territory being theirs, then they should defend it. If a guild and their coalition of half a server can't handle a few rats, then maybe they should look to improve where they fail.
In beta I saw this with Bear/Es/Tc alliance. I would gank enemy guilds in the graveyard but turned out a lot of the untagged were enemy guilds who were rerolling at the time to get rid of MC/Rep.Most of the alts with no guild, for example in Vada most of them are alts from Legion you can hear them talk
My guess its like a test?1) Why wasn't this added to all cities and not just KOTO area?
2) Why weren't saburra yields lowered in the new patrol area?
3) Why are they elite guards and not normal guards?
I like guards roaming patrolling the roads. SVs implementation I don't like.
No, Meduli is not the "most popular trade hub". It's one of the main trade Hubs. Fabernum and Bakti are basically equal in trade activity, despite having maybe 20% less people in the town. Shit, even Tindrem is near on par in terms of trade. Fabernum and Bakti have more PvP interaction outside than Meduli. Fabernum is basically the wild west of MO. A lot of PvPers leave Meduli as the last resort, due to it's location and the fact you can have a giant zerg come out for 3 - 4 people. You are talking about Meduli...trying to infer koto.
You are fundamentally wrong though...
Meduli is the most popular trade hub in the game. Its in the middle of granum and seburra. It is home to many..nit just one, large guilds. The coalition here actively pursues griefers. Making it arguably safer for new/untagged players. It is popular by default. It also has attracted many sh***ers who do nothing but gank/grief all day. Shoot arrows from water, kill horses from outside of town because meduli is so small prior you could just stand outside and shoot arrows in to kill horses/players thrn hide in their houses 10 seconds outside of town or GY.
This was obviously and objectively the problem, NOT favoritism despite yours and others, personal fundamental dilemma with KOtO or the MDF.
If anything, all blue cities need more guards. Henrik has outlined clearly that blue cities are intended to be safe havens for all...all but murderers. There are entire towns designed for that sort of gameplay....go there.
What you want is your cake and eat it too.

House door changes and guard patrols only happened after it started affecting KOTO...and the only place that got patrol clusters...was Meduli. That is favortism. KOTO + the Coalition themselves have repeatedly stated they spam both discord and in-game tickets with their complaints. Due to Meduli and the coalition being the BIGGEST alliance in the game, the spam of complaints overshadows everything else.
SV since the beginning back around 2009, claimed their game was going to be primarily focused around player interaction and outcomes are decided by player decision making and actions. At one point they were planning to remove majority of NPCs and making the game almost 100% player driven. Any way, they turned their back on this vision and made NPC/AI a huge deciding factor in a lot of areas, especially in PvP and TC - It was multiple nails in the coffin. This is something they said they will try to avoid for MO2. And here we are, with unparryable guard clusters defending the town outskirts against 3 - 5 people while the biggest shit talking alliance in the game sits afk in town crying about the big bad bandits and pillagers.
If the game offered more content for people to go outside of town, and having a less "large group" focus - PvPers wouldn't hang outside towns as much, killing people to try draw out the defenders for a fight.
Funny the game was way more active when it was more criminal friendly hahaPeople don't care about guard patrols too much, they should be a thing within faction territories, just less clumped and more sparse. Meduli is doo doo, has been since MO1. Can get cheaper higher quality weapons and armor in the North. If you're looking for growth/shrink food or potions, then sure Meduli is better.LOL...
bruh...
The brokers in tind and fab are trash compared to meduli.
Koto will ride out to fight anyone almost any time. Just ask them, ive seen it.
The people House/door peek-a-boo'ing right outside Meduli arent looking to "draw out the defenders" the MDF just puts on crap sparring gear and rolls them on an hourly basis out of sheer boredom. What the sh**ters think PVP is is nothing more than a good laugh for the MDF to break the monotony. The guards are to defend the small guilds and untagged in a safe zone. Just think of it as an expanded city.
This entire premise people like you put on revolves around pvp outside of a city is just trash gameplay loop. Gather your boys, ping the MDF on discord and they will bring you an even fight any time of day.
"Zerg" is literally a core part of the game as it is advertised and crwated to be a large scale warefare game. If you are a tiny geoup of bandits, you will always get "zerged".. its just how its gonna be. If OldGuard or KotO, or North Order is out with a small group the same applies to them. You cant complain about "zergs" when you're a tiny group of molarium and arthropod wearing trolls "killing people to try draw out the defenders for a fight." Want a 5v5? Ask for one but you probaboy too busy killing miners or people farming tuar dogs.
Almost like the PvP is what keeps people interested long term and the PvE content is only a minor speed bump in the games progression. But apparently PvP bad, sitting in town for 18 hours a day not playing the game good.Funny the game was way more active when it was more criminal friendly haha

I've fought Koto for nearly a decade, fought three actual wars against them(which we won lel). I know all the old blood of the guild. I know the guild more than you. And they're still the exact same as they were in MO1 - Loud mouth salty shit talking zerglings, that complain about everything that stops them from winning with 5:1 odds. Though this time they managed to ally most of the south, to make their complaints stand out a lot more.
My only interactions with them in MO2 are the exact same as MO1, though they stooped to a new low this time. First PvP encounter was them attacking us in colored forest spider queen cave, we wiped them. Next day they put us on the coalition KOS list...for "GY Griefing" lmao Was their lie to justify their alliance to grief one of our members fishing in Meduli, who then made Krawly the laughing stock of Meduli. Wouldn't be surprised if KOTO spams for guards to be added to the spider cave, we keep turning them into loot bags there.
