Alpha Gear & Where To Find It

Although it is unclear how long this will be relevant, in an effort to help my fellow warriors of Nave understand, choose, and locate their tools. I am beginning work on a table that will contain items that can be located in Nave and their base stats going off of the "Common Quality" or what I believe to be steel variants as they are they are currently found in the Alpha.

If you're looking for a specific item, and the list has become quite long, try CTRL-F search.
I will update this to the best of my ability, and if you find a weapon that is not on my list, please let me know its details in a PM. Thank you.

its odd the swords have such a high strength requirement since intuition tells me an axe or blunt weapon (where the mass is all at the end of a longer handle) would take much more strength to swing. similar oddness in the 2h swords taking more str to swing vs 1h swords of almost the same weight (claymore vs broadsword). i get it that the claymore would be longer and that should account for something, but i would still expect the 2h aspect to more than make up for it.

anyway, some interesting numbers to look at

Glad it's appreciated. Speaking of strange strength values, I just added a maul which has the highest str. req. I've seen so far. It's one of the "Ultra" weapons as I would call them. The stam you instantly but drop you instantly family of arms. Great assassination / parry cheese weapon. I found these sort of weapons really good for pushing in group fights in MO1. I'm going to add a few more weapons to the list in the next half hour or so.

Maybe the reduced str requirement of the 1h swords will make them viable in MO2. In MO1 most 1h swords were just useless, compared to their 2h versions.

1h katana head swords with a lion shield were pretty good, but it was way more efficient to just equip your guys with a flanged mace or a katana hilt gb.

If "pretty good" means 30% more stamina drain than a 2h katana and a shitty swing animation, then yes, they were pretty good.

Right swing on 1h swords with shield was okay... But left swing? Damn short.

Yeah it became right swings and thrusts only pretty fast. The equipment hits were pretty OP tho.
Still, you'd have been better off just switching the 1h sword out for a spear 9 times out of 10.

Somewhat, I haven't been on as much last few days, and when I was, I was actively engaged in combat. HMU in discord we can go through the list and see what we're missing.

The List has been expanded to reflect the addition of shields. There is now a new section for them specifically, as they loosely fit into both former categories while also fitting snugly into neither. Big ol' thanks to @Phen for the enormous help tracking down some of the more elusive items. Not all heroes wear capes, but I'm pretty sure Phen does. Will continue to fill in info as the game develops, and hopefully pin down some of these locations that are missing due to gaps in memory as to where we find things. :cool:

Location for shields are in town barrels.

"Red Cape" Tindrem Gaurd Cape, found outside of Kranesh/ in between Kran and Fab off the beaten path. -same as other capes no stats-

Kall 2h Double Axe, location outside of Kranesh

Crude 1h Powathan, gripped 1h war club locations outside of Fab and Kran if I recall right ( nw gate of fab head westish, one box has both )
