Personally I'd love to see this as well. Coupled with insanely expensive armor and tusk blades that are required to make them pop-off, stam mechanics that keep the moving slower than infantry over long distances despite having a nice charge speed (so a huge stam pool and good sprint speed but...
If there is craftable mounted armor, I think a player on a desert horse made with a light recipes and light mats should absolutely be a glass cannon. An insanely fast glass cannon. Those types of builds would be for chasing runners, scouting, or plowing into a flank/taking out mages and archers...
It was a patch or two ago but feel free to clock it yourself. Just let your stam fill fully, start a stopwatch, sprint until lack of stam forces you to stop, and stop the timer.
I can sum up my thoughts on the new archery system in two quick points.
1. Aiming is great. Leave it how it is.
2. Fix arrow trajectory by making it flatter. Even shortbows should have a bit more range than this.
You do use less stam sprinting out of combat mode:
Those are the times I clocked on how long it took to drain stam in and out of combat. They have a slight margin of error due to stopwatch clicking speed etc. but not a 23 second margin of error.
This makes sense. If you run out as a group of sword and boards and face a bunch of heavy cav, you should get wiped. But if you're all pikes and they're dumb enough to press the attack you should wipe them.
And if you head out as a group of all pikes with no bows and a bunch of cav archers...
Using a lot of the MO1 charts all crafting seems similar but most seems to have at least undergone minor changes. For instance if [Ore Type 3] was most efficiently extracted through [Station 1] and least efficiently extracted through [Station 3] likely all of that is true in MO2. Same for the...
Pretty sure if you don't know which town we're leaning toward settling you don't have much of value. That isn't even very closely guarded information. I guess talking smack is purely reserved for self-proclaimed vets too afraid to reveal their name? I'm shaking in my boots.
My primary concern is building a knowledge-base for an up-and-coming game and not spending too much time on a dying game. That being said I might if there reaches a point in my MO2 testing I feel my knowledge is complete. Sounds insanely fun if there are super overpowered "I win" buttons I can...
I'm hardly debating all vets. Just a small clique of forum trolls whose story is hardly unanimous among all the vets I've talked to. But I guess there is no point debating when your argument is always going to boil down to "I know better because I played longer."
I look forward to exploiting...
I'm not claiming vet status but I did play the game. I have enough to know you can build a new character in a few days and that it wasn't too hard to pick up a new character slot later in the game when necromancy was a thing. It wasn't like ArcheAge or something where dramatic build changes...
It didn't need to be. If the best team comp is all minion masters then any other comp is intentionally running a sub-par build. If one minion master per team is the best comp then that sounds balanced to me.
You don't need to get paid to want to grow and develop into a better player. It's the...
Intentionally running sub-par builds with no point doesn't really fall within it. That's called letting your team down.
But when you start playing "OP" or "No skill" builds you grow as a player. When I first played Start Craft 2 I got tower rushed all the time. I started tower rushing people...
No not at all. Not the sole criteria. What I'm suggesting is damn near literally everyone will run something OP if it doesn't get fixed eventually. If not everyone is running it then there is a reason. I'm not going to claim to know every factor playing into that reason. Just that if 90%+ of the...
So is everyone playing MO1 right now a minion master? If not, why not? Don't tell me it's because people refuse to play an OP class. I might not have years into this game but I have enough years into competitive games to know that's bullcrap. If something is truly OP everyone will use it...
I've figured out a few major ingredients for extending the duration but very few ingredients offer healing ticks, much less ones with worthwhile numbers on them. It appears some of the best ingredients for doing it historically aren't in-game yet.
Well given this is a spillover from other conversations in other threads the problem is all you do is whine about how horrible combat in this game is and how much better it was in MO1 and how the only way to achieve that is to basically turn MO2 into counterstrike. I mean last night you made a...
Yeah because you were flaunting years of experiences and then I said it doesn't line up with what some other vets I've talked with have said. But the funny part is I kind of took you at your word you had years of experience. But you really haven't said anything so far that convinces me you ever...
So you expect me to drag someone else into a pissing match by spilling their name, but you won't even name yourself? Lol. This guy. My source has demonstrated considerably more MO1 knowledge to me than you have. I'll take their word over yours.
