    Increase appeal to larger audience

If EVE hadn't succeeded, it would surely be called a niche MMO. Definitely, games do need to find their purple cow. (A marketing term for products and features that draw people's attention by being different than what you would find elsewhere.) And I wouldn't even say that's a statement...

    Increase appeal to larger audience

In-game names are something I can tolerate. Anime girls on people's capes are something that would entirely ruin one of the most major selling points of this game for me.

This game goes to such great lengths to create and preserve immersion. If there are custom emblems on capes I hope they have very strict rules on what is and isn't allowed. It may be easier to have an in-game generator. The last thing I want to see is someone running around with some hideous...

    Horse Archery

I don't think a limitation is necessary. The fact you can't see what's in front of you while you're turned 180 degrees firing backward is enough. I do agree with the idea of a primary though. You might make it so at 0 in the primary, you are limited to turning 135 degrees left or right while if...

    "Start the game already"

Not a great showcase of skill but damn this match was hilarious.

    Increase appeal to larger audience

This is not a tab-targeted game. This is a standard feature for TAB-TARGETING. I could see implementing a spell healers could use to track a set number of targets more easily but it shouldn't be a cut and paste from tab-targeted MMOs. As someone who has done a lot of healing across a lot of...

    Knight`s Tournaments

Cool. I'd be interested. One idea to keep in mind when organizing such events, there are many historical cultures represented in the MO2 universe. Most of them have their own traditions of martial sports/festivals. A traditional knight tournament seems like something that would be a modern...

    Knight`s Tournaments

So we have arrows that stick into objects where they hit, melee, and there should be lances again with mounted combat. Combat also doesn't have to be lethal due to mercy mode. Such a tournament is fully possible if player organized. I'd prefer not to see any such events built into the game...

Add a second spear stance, to use the spear with both hands, if you not have a shield equipped, to be able to make an overhead attack

I kind of hope it isn't even possible to use spear/shield as an effective counter to mounts. I'd really like to see that restricted to the realm of two-handed polearms as spear/shield is already incredibly effective in a lot of infantry vs. infantry situations, while polearms are underperforming...

I mainly reposted it as a joke mainly aimed at the recent discussions on sieges. I don't figure most battles will be protracted sieges and the game wouldn't be fun if they were. I do hope sieges of built-up forts take time though.

Lack of offline protection will cost the game

"A few tweaks" matter when they address the specific problem you're referring to of people hiding behind a wall shooting fire arrows. I keep on it because it's a solid system. When the worst criticisms people can throw at it is unflattering comparisons to old system that aren't possible as I...

Lack of offline protection will cost the game

You had one version of that system. I feel the version I've proposed is better in many meaningful ways. There is absolutely no way 2 people could hold against a concerted group effort in the system I proposed because you actually have to endeavor to control the territory outside your walls.

Lack of offline protection will cost the game

I could be wrong, but I kind of got the impression in that Molag is like me in that he doesn't care when you begin a siege so long as you can't resolve it in the time it takes him to finish work and get home. Making sieges take a properly realistic time doesn't make the game any less sandboxy...

Lack of offline protection will cost the game

Fun and realism are not always mutually exclusive. In this case, I think it's both realistic that sieges should be meant to take a long time, and it's more fun. The developers have also prettymuch said they want their game to have a lot of realism, so it should be a goal of the community to...

Taming and Animal Care (As they are now) Should be Crafting Skills

If combat pets actually required a certain taming skill to be given attack commands, I'd find that acceptable. Though at that point taming would need to be more balanced with domination. The main downside of domination is you have to take it to get domination pets and its pets cannot be traded...

Lack of offline protection will cost the game

No. They did not announce the time of their arrival. Though when they are moving thousands of men usually your scouts would make you aware of their rough arrival time days or weeks in advance. Ambushes? Sure. Teutoburg Forest was a famous example where thousands of men were massacred in an...

Taming and Animal Care (As they are now) Should be Crafting Skills

I would only want a refund if they were dumb enough to go back on their word. I don't think this is a large enough issue to call that yet but the line "Not all action skills are made equal. If you're going to want to focus on combat, you'll be leaving utilities on the table." is absolutely...

Add Attribute and Skill Caps/Racial Bonuses in Late February

Late February's patch is supposed to add mounts, taming, and ecumenical magic. At the same time this patch hits, it would be nice to see races, skillcaps, and attribute caps make it in. Actual skill training can be like 20x faster than post-launch, it's the caps that are important. Why? Because...

7 Brutal Sieges - HISTORY "... The stranglehold lasted for seven brutal months until—reeling from starvation and disease—the town’s leaders sent out their young sons and daughters to beg for peace. Having pacified the surrounding region, Thutmose spared Megiddo in exchange for a vow of loyalty...
