    Stam penalty change is horrible

2kg is when the first penalty hits which is penalty to magic regen. This is where the realism arguments toward game mechanics can be hard to justify appropriately though. Maybe it should raise the lower threshold on this basis, I'm not entirely sure. However, we're then back to the point where...

    Stam penalty change is horrible

The training aspect of what you're saying is simulated by the armor weight caps, and the ability to use armor efficiently (through up to 200 primary points invested). As exceeding the armor weight cap greatly decreases speed, stamina regen and jump height even more so and prevents you from...

Why your PvP Enthusiast stop playing and wont come back

Let's be honest, you're more concerned that the balancing passes haven't come as swiftly as you would have liked and given they're happening gradually and incrementally across multiple patches shows that a) they are still making these decisions each patch but also b) aren't making this aspect of...

A few quality of life suggestions.

It's likely to do with server performance, not visual. By limiting the amount of updates the server has to send you as a client about every other player and their unique combination of armor, material types, weapon type etc. etc; they gain some degree of server performance. I imagine in the...

Wtf How is the Development progressively getting worse? Broker not working,Guards not working, Stables not working, even Ui problems and Clade Resets?

They're not hotfixing the stable issue because it's not an issue per sey. They've been quite clear across the whole beta, database issues relating to characters that happen during beta won't get fixed because that takes them away from actual development time. Cleaning up databases & running dev...

Why your PvP Enthusiast stop playing and wont come back

This has been mentioned numerous times across threads talking about Psyche...it already gives flat magic damage reduction. In further testing with 100psyche I found that: You are more likely to resist certain spells the higher your Psyche difference between the skill range of the spell...

Why your PvP Enthusiast stop playing and wont come back

This is an important aspect of the game that deserves feedback, however, there's too much in this thread to unpack and evaluate properly. A summary of actionable and realistically achievable points toward combat balance would go a long way in keeping this discussion constructive. That said...

    Stam penalty change is horrible

I don't believe the changes made to Armor weight are finished yet and especially not with regards to mounted. We know this because as it was mentioned on the recent dev stream, your player weight is going to impact the speed of your mount, so it's safe to assume this will include armor weight...

    Stam penalty change is horrible

Steel's weight was overtuned even before the changes made to armor weight penalties. This change is targeting armor as a whole, and has considerations for all playstyles, not just FF.

    Weather, Clothing & Camping

A lot of this sounds good on paper, however, the number of times a player should experience harsh weather and be forced to camp would need to be fairly infrequent as to not become frustrating to travel. Apart from that, the camp needs to be a tool/choice of the player/group only when they need...

    Weather, Clothing & Camping

I'm liking the approach your suggestion is taking. Simple yet with enough depth for the player to consider as they're out roaming. It almost has similarities with RDR2's warmth system which works well in itself. With regards to clothing and armor, there could also be consideration for high...

    Ogmir Clade Gifts

Looking at the position of everything else, I'm not sure where else they could move this to in the clade wheel. Furthermore, given Max dex isn't typically a major consideration for Oghmirs, it makes a bit more sense that it's deeper in the tree. If there was a more appropriate place to put it...

    Jotun Horse too slow.

If speed is now a consideration between breeds, and your horse armor class reduces speed, wouldn't the appropriate train of thought be that Jotuns are more suitable for lighter armor, especially considering their higher stamina pools. I don't think we will ever see high stamina pools + high top...

    Stam penalty change is horrible

Yes this is clearly part of the intent behind the change (as to why it applies across all armor weights) and creates a mobility vs protection consideration across the entire weight scale. This is far more intuitive.

    Stam penalty change is horrible

It's still true even when considering different builds and stamina caps. The amount of penalty to regeneration has nothing to do with your total stamina per se, even though yes, your total or current stamina throughout a fight is probably more of a consideration now. If anything, this increases...

    Stam penalty change is horrible

It's proportional. When comparing apples with apples it doesn't matter that you have some penalty to stamina regen at lower weight values, it only matters if the next player you're fighting has more or less armor weight than you and therefore a higher or lower penalty.

    Stam penalty change is horrible

How about we actually put these changes into practice in fights etc. first before jumping to any conclusions about how bad it is - on DAY 1. Resistance to change is normal, and this presents itself as a mindset shift that we will have to undertake. That said, the new approach seems both more...

A continuation of the Real Time Combat thread & Some thoughts on netcode

The problem with extrapolation when it comes to player position sync in games, is that on foot you can change direction on a dime (e.g. you can strafe left then instantly strafe right). Extrapolation can't account for sudden change in direction. It has no way to know that you're about to change...
