Because quite simply speed is king in MO2 foot combat. A glass cannon would imply they also are not that mobile. If they were able to cast magic and hit as hard as a fat mage and out run anything in game including horses, then they would be able to control and win every fight.

Like all bows it depends on the current events and market demand. In areas with high amounts of PVP and Thursar-Kallard populations yes. But in most places no. Most archers are either Oghmir or Alvarin. A few remaining Thur-Kal are out there but not hugely popular.

Its under handle and pole crafting. 1 handed shaft and handles, then 2 handed shafts and staffs.

I like the changes but I understand the drawbacks. I would have just been fine with it finally working against NPCs. But I would also like mind blast to work against people and do more damage than it does now. Or perhaps leave the damage the same but have it ignore magic reflect.

True. I run soft armor which I have dubbed light. I mean I can make a decent protection set of light armor that weighs 12-14kg and gives me 50% slash, pierce and 45% blunt.
