    Yeah, I really liked the sound of that as well. If they are able to fix the ai along with these changes then the guard thing will be something totally new to evaluate on its own.

    Somehow MO2 needs to keep more people than MO1 was able too. So every little thing they can tweak to make things less confusing should be considered. But of coarse they do want to maintain the gameplay as much as possible though.

    It is part of the game though that players with more experience will have a greater understanding of said items. I think the compromise is to have an option for players to get items they do not understand evaluated for them.

    Another negative thing that came to my mind about gliders is that it would make it too easy to get down from mountains and such. Gaining the knowledge of how to traverse the world is a big part of the game. Being able to just jump off a cliff and glide down would negate much of this.

    Not sure how serious you are seeing most of your other post, but This is the first thing I have read from you here that I have to agree with. There is no reason that guilds can not recruit players from different time zones.

    So true with older ultima and similar games. Sure we have better graphics and 3d environments now but aside from that they did so much more with so much less in the early days.

    One advantage to books vs trainers is that with a book players have something they can sell to other players. This also gives players a way to avoid having to do said dungeon or whatever.

    The way they had the player guards was pure trash. You walk buy a place and without warning you are getting spells from some unknown place inside walls.     One mans trash is another mans treasure. It's a missed opportunity for such things when players can just delete their extra items. No man needed though. The players would already be doing it themselves to clean their banks and such. The only thing needed would be mechanics to keep it clean.
