Everytime you log in, it's a gamble.

A gamble if a nodeline doesn't fuck you over
A gamble if you'll find any form of activity outside of a town
A gamble if the broker works
A gamble if you go to a dungeon a cheater isn't there farming boss

We all took the biggest gamble of all, putting faith that MO2 was going to be a better experience than MO1.
This, the game itself is pure gamble. Why do u need more? 🤣

I don't see why collectable cards couldn't go in a no-drop book. Spell books are no drop. I suppose it depends on the game, how many cards you really need to play it, and how easy it is to rebuild one. If it was an in-depth deck like MTG or where you get a small amount when out riding and can come back and play what you have, like Inscryption.

The Gewnt Game from the Witcher could inspire. I am not a big fan of suchg Card games but many people are and it would be fun to search all collectables, or win vs some NPCS to get a special card or so.

I'd love to see some immersive in-game gambling options like classic card games or even unique, lore-based games that fit the game's world. Picture high-stakes tavern poker or dice games in bustling city squares. It could add a dynamic element to the virtual world.

And hey, if you ever want a break from the action, exploring free online slot games could offer a different kind of thrill. They're a cool way to relax and enjoy some gaming without the in-game stakes. It's all about finding that perfect balance between the virtual and the virtual-vegas!

I once tried betting on sports, various casinos, and slots, but I never had any passion specifically to win money. I have a friend who plays constantly, even told me to "discover this" about it to try eSports betting. Of course, I like to play games, but I have never watched the eSports competitions themselves. Do you have experience betting specifically on eSports, I’m interested in which one.

I think that the take on card games is wrong from Henrik. Instead of giving us specific games. Just give us a table in a tavern or in SH, then give us a full deck of cards which players can draw cards from and place them on the table freely, or hold them in hand. Then the players will make the rules and the games. We can practically play ALL card games then. One should also think like a sandbox when it comes to card games.

This is how it worked in the first game. We had dice, tables and game pieces. No actual rules or game mechanics.

Not sure how much the tables and pieces where ever used for their purpose. The pieces where mostly just collectables.

Cant remember exactly how it worked but I think pieces where open to be taken. So it was risky to use them.

We do have the dice again now. Which can be used freely how ever you want. It only puts text in chat when your roll them.

So it does not put them out there to be stolen when you actually use them.

I think adding cube and board gambling games to Mortal Online 2 sounds like a great idea! It could really enhance the tavern atmosphere and draw in players who might not normally go for a full-loot game like this. Personally, I've always enjoyed online solitaire card games to unwind after a long day, so having those in a tavern setting would be a cool addition. And you're right about the potential for lag in crowded cities; instancing might become necessary if it gets too popular. As for financing further game development, I've seen how positive casino experiences can really boost engagement and support ongoing updates.

How about to gamble you have to trek your money somewhere remote that is guarded but has no banker... Things like this incentivize PVP, but lets be real. Unless they can buy plug and play poker from the asset store its not happening... Card games have been promised for over 2 years now.

It would be interesting to see some creative gambling options in Mortal Online 2, like having to trek your money to a remote, guarded spot without a banker. It would definitely add a PVP twist! Adding a few accessible card games or even something like Slot77 could make it more engaging. Though, realistically, unless they can find an easy implementation, it might be a while before we see anything new.
