No stam bows while standing still? Sure. That's the only kind I make.
This idea bow players are able to chase forever and not stam out while at the same time doing considerable damage? Hogwash.

any bow below your max str will pretty much drain no stam while standing still and holding the arrow, even 121 str recurve bows.

the trick is in the decimals though, even 0.1 above str cap and then the bow starts stamming you out. oh and the other trick is never to craft asymm or decurve

Smells like a bug with the modifiers that recurve bows apply then.

what is abnormal ? i don't see an issue here .You lose a shit ton of stam shooting at people while chasing them, and even bows way bellow your strenght will suck your stamina quite a lot.

I deleted my original post where I said "there is no such thing as a no stam bow" because I realized I hadn't tested it enough to make such a statement.

And after a lot more testing I'd like to report... running an INCREDIBLY low draw strength bow, I have yet to test anything that didn't consume a small amount of stam per shot. You can test this by just standing still and firing. Even for the lowest stam drain bows you'll see your stam bar dip temporarily before it quickly regens.

If "no stam" bows do exist, they are a bug. And if "no stam" actually just means "very low stam". Yes they do exist. And their damage per shot is garbage. Meaning their DPS also sucks given all bows have the same refire rate.

Bows gonna be a big problem, i have no problem with people standind still doing damage, but them running after u and pecking u while running is just dumb. It just denies any escape cheaply

Im totally against non stam bows, even more those which consume lil stam and do 30's per hit ....even more when the game is already slow
