    Mount fall damage would be fine as is if the horses didn't launch themselves when you hit bumps and at least tried to do a dead stop when running lowish speeds towards a ledge. There are very few locations in the world where there is not a horse spawn pretty close. Heck, look at the map website...

    at 30 you can tame really low level horses but have a chance to fail. At 50 you basically can't fail anymore. At 60~+ you can tame any horse, even high level ones.

    I think you should just get the torch and make the torch do 0 damage. Instead make it so hitting an animal like a wolf etc with it makes it run away. Ala LiF style. This way you dont have to rely on a shitty short sword to come out alive of aggroing a wolf while running back from priest.
