To "solve" this you could as well give spears more slashing damage... In that case your change would be more for aestetic reasons.

In my opinion this would break somehow the balance. Those piercing weapons are supposed to do high dps in one direction. And only in that one direction. That's their main drawback. If you would now add high damage attacks to the additional directions it would remove that drawback. Besides...

Right... Didn't mean arm like that. I meant the arm hitbox... So ingame it's called left/right limb, no?

As far as I know shoulders were never counted as equipment... Was always an "arm" hit.

Deequip your horse armor. Let some shoot at your mount. Equip it and do the same. There will be a difference. But yes, horse armor is worse than player armor, and the damage is therefore high.

As long as it's a fully charged clean (non-head) hit, yes. I usually only have trouble dismounting Arctic or Stalker Lyks... And I think it won't work on a Veela, due to low damage bonus... Posted that video already a few pages earlier...

Even in MO1 I roamed with a mount on my foot fighter. When you encounter Mounteds just ride towards the next mountain, dismount there and sent your pet a mount a few meters up the hill and then fend the mounteds off. But in my opinion the issue became worse over time. Back in the days people...

I'm dismounting with a steel halberd since years. Just saying... Frequently the Material is not the issue, but the lack of proper recipes.

So far people mainly talked about weapons and balance. But what else did we get from this patch? ... Right, a new bug where your weapon gets stuck and you can't anymore attack, block or deequip. It seems like only relogging or dying solves it. :( And that's only on top of the bug that already...

If you paint the towns on your map, they will be there. If you paint them incorrectly... Well, then they will be on the wrong position on your map.

You mean that bug when your swings cancel instantly? And that can be only solved by blocking and pushing? I get that bug frequently since ever. But I can't say that it occurs now more often than it did in the past...

To all items where the number of sellers is > 50% people will agree to rising prices. To all items where the number of sellers is < 50% people will agree to lower prices. And on top of that there will trolls just for for the lolz of it. In my opinion such a system will destroy the player market...

In the old times there were only NPC tower shields (like the red shields)... But somewhen with Sadrucaa patch they added craftable tower shields.

There is already a placeholder ingame called "Veteran Points". I assume that they will be used for such specialization. But in my opinion those things should give the edge to your build. And not be a "class". Those examples of you are way too extreme.
