You might remember that video Henrik posted where he made a pot that healed for something like 275 and said no one would ever make it because it was so costly in mats. Anyways good post.
This was the number 1 balance machinic in MO1 and I'm sure it's coming here. But you do make a good point mounted fall damage is to severe and has an unintended balance effect.
I'm also guessing you did not play MO1 you can soon look forward to fat mounted mages earth quaking you off your mount...
It creates a few issues when you can heal your own mount while riding. Strongly encourages wheelchair builds and if you need to dismount to use veterinary skill it will be all but worthless. Right now I think mounted vs foot is almost balanced MA needs a wobble at higher speeds and hills need to...
SV is practically encouraging us to buy more accounts. And if subs start to drop after a few months an extra character would be a great card to play. I see it as a gamble to extract as many multiple subs out of us as possible in the hopes this is not offset by some people quitting over only...
Make EQ dismount, slow horses when they go uphill no more mountain goats, add dismount animations, remove rider healing his mount while riding. Make dex have an effect on riding speed and agility. Add MA aim wobble. Then we can consider horse HP.
The old "Henrik said argument" I seem to recall he said the numbers were about even. The only way we might get a NA server would be if the game is wildly successful well beyond all expectations.
I just hope the steam reviews don't kill potential new players from trying the game.
I remember when mo1 had dark nights and you could not gamma "fix" it, we would just sit around Bakti and wait for day light. It's a new game with a new breed of gamer and housing is very important to them.
Henrik was quite clear in his streams that launching without housing was somehow good for the game. Someone on that team understands that this critical system needs to be player tested and working on release.
I don't think SV implemented the water in a way that's even compatible for boats in the future. What's going to happen when you sail over that waterfall lookin mess near Sarducca bridge.
