There should be at least some skills that take long to level to get a sense of long time progression. But they should not be the most basic skills but some "specialization" to get the last 5% of power to get the maximum out of your build.
But the should not be macroable but reward continious...
One thing to mention about shields that is in my opinion really stupid :
Equipment his are calculated based torso defense + shield defense.
So in order to use equiment hits effectively you basically need a heavy torso, and not some light weight armor build. :(
So 300-style builds don't work.
If there are certain items which can only obtained with a certain playstyle, then it's indirectly punishing all other playstyles that do not match this one "rewarded" playstyle.
Henrik mentioned that not all races are able to ride all mounts. So based on "character weight".
At least that's my interpretation what he could mean. :D
I personally hate all those active skills. They feel like so much micro management for few gain.
I would love to see most of them getting transformed into passive.
Passive live steal as mentioned already in the first post.
And about the adrenaline rush... Why don't make it an active that...
Tested a bit my hybrid with a Human Tindremene build...
The second fight wasn't exactly equal, and I used it more to play a bit around with magic, instead of real "competitive" fighting.
I think you got me wrong. It was rather a question. Did you activate it during your screenshot? Or did you think it's a passive and you didn't activate it and it's basically a screenshot without the clade gift?
You know that it a buff you need to activate, right?
Even through this should be a passive. I hate it that there are so many clade gifts that need to be activated.
So I think pets should be able to jump down stuff. Maybe not super high cliffs. But smaller things.
Or those small "canyons" that are basically all around the world at mountains. I can jump across them as a player. But my horse just stays there and watches me disappear.
First of all I'm not sure if all things on the roadmap include what you think they do.
E.g. the swimming patch did not include combat mode inside the water. So you can't be sure that "Mounts" also include Mounted Combat, Mounted Archery & Mounted Magic. :D
- A lot of dungeons
- Relics
-...
I think especially with a mage in a fight you quite frequently climb up on rocks, cast from there, and jump down again.
And telling my enemy to wait, I need to circle around the rock to get my pet unstuck is maybe not the best idea...
It's basically the equivalent of melee combat head hit.
It is triggered when you aim at the head of a player and it does more damage than a normal body hit.
I was thinking about running a beast master. So I really hope they fix pets getting stuck. Or it will be really frustating.
And that bug when my spells consumed no mana... Happened only once. But I hope this gets sorted out. I see great potential in it getting abused. Imaging a heavy armor...
