    Community Inquiry

Treat your weapon or fist like you would in real life, before you swing it make sure you have full situational awareness of who is around you before you swing it. That way, even if a grey were to come along, they'd be in for a tough time trying to get you to hit them.

Could I play Mortal Online 2 from Australia?

@Acridzero Another aussie here, I also use ExitLag and get a nice ~200 ms, down from the abysmal ~320 ms that I usually get without ExitLag. Little to no warping at all, even during battles with a dozen players moving around. Easily playable.

PSA: Do your part to ensure this game has a healthy population. Protect the newbies!

Usually when I sense that there is player-killing going in the graveyard I go back to town and do a yell, and see if anyone is in the mood to drive the gankers away. If a group shows up, I try to help and get a bit of pvp practice while carrying nothing of value. If a group is not around, I go...

    Starter Sword

If they made the starter sword vanish upon leaving Haven, I think the griefer will simply resort to their fists which is the closest equivalent to the starter sword. I don't know how powerful the hand-to-hand combat skill is once fully trained, though I'd imagine it could inflict some serious...

PSA: Do your part to ensure this game has a healthy population. Protect the newbies!

True, though at the same time it means that the pker will become dependent on whatever establishment they have outside of town. Which would be subject to possible player sieges and destruction, unlike npc towns which are immune to such actions.

    Launch Giveaway Stream!

My goodness, SV is really going big with this launch. Good on them, they came this far and achieved so much in the past two years.

PSA: Do your part to ensure this game has a healthy population. Protect the newbies!

Fun fact: A naked player carrying nothing but their worn short sword technically has nothing to lose when they get pk'ed. Meanwhile the pker stands to lose reputation (both statistically and among the community) and incur a murdercount every time they kill an innocent. The newcomer may be...

Make Fishing a Secondary (With Advanced Fishing Primary)

I think if basic fishing were to be tweaked properly so that it only allows you to fish up common catch, the net effect would probably still be mainly the people who are really into advanced fishing doing most of the fishing. While those who are just casual fishers will probably play with it...

Make Fishing a Secondary (With Advanced Fishing Primary)

As per the title. I was going to try out fishing but barely have any primary skill points left since they are all dumped into skills I need for my build. Just like we have Cooking as a secondary skill with Advanced Cooking as a primary (if I'm not mistaken), I think it would make it far less...

MO2 server is not ready for rerlease !

I remember the launch of MO1 back in 2010. It was a complete disaster with so much crashing and bugs that I left for about 3 years before returning for good. MO2's server is practically stable and rock solid right now, they ironed out all the crashes and many bugs during the alpha and beta. The...

Does this game focus TOO MUCH on PvP??

@fragnot The game on launch will appear to be pvp-centric due to barebone features that are not fully fleshed out, though in time that will likely change as SV adds more systems and expands existing ones. I personally don't engage in pvp unless I'm cornered and have no other recourse, so most...

New Players should be told to stay in Heaven in the first days.

I think most new players will likely stay a while in Haven, they probably are all aware that once they leave the island then they'll be headed for the meat grinder that is Myrland.

    War system?

One way that might make it work better is to allow wardecs to be made only against guilds with a keep site, perhaps? EVE Online kind of works this way, you have to own an asset like a space station or something similar to be wardec-able. That way, smaller player corporations were left alone.

    I can not enter Haven

Are you running the game on Directx 11 or 12? The one other explanation is that they are prepping the new hardware that they just moved the game to, so maybe in a day or two things will settle down.

Game Guide Videos for Mortal Online 2

The day that I and many others have been patiently waiting for is less than one week away, and I wanted to take this opportunity to show you a few things that may potentially improve your framerates and latency on launch day for Mortal Online 2. I will also showcase a PvP battle involving quite...

    I've seen things....

That last picture reminded me of another player-built tower called McDonald's Buffet. 🙂 Nice Blade Runner reference too, by the way.

A Brief History of the Modern Tindremic Guard Armour

Yes, the Tindremic Empire isn't what it used to be back in its glory days. Perhaps even less so now. There may still be a few good years left in it, we shall see.

Do you think SV will ever sellout to Tencent?

Not sure if Tencent will be in a position to buy out other game studios in the foreseeable future, as there appears to be some sort of government crackdown on all the tech giants in the country since last year from what I've heard.

A Brief History of the Modern Tindremic Guard Armour

The declassification was a bit of a retcon on my part, while the three men to take down one elite Tindremic guard was a reference to a video I did quite a few years ago. A few guys and I went to Tindrem graveyard for pvp for fun, but inadvertently drew the attention of an elite guard:

A Brief History of the Modern Tindremic Guard Armour

Before the Second Conflux, the Tindremic Guard Armour was one of the most iconic symbols of the Tindremic Empire's power and dominance in the centuries gone by. Worn by its legions of city guards as they patrolled the streets of Tindrem and its provincial towns, the armour provided complete...
