Do you think SV will ever sellout to Tencent?

Seeing as how Tencent buys out most games and owns similar games like Conan Exiles and MoE presumably do you think SV would ever cash out for CCP money? Kind of important to me in the long run. Try not to support Tencent games but many games I like, Conan Exiles, Back 4 Blood, etc sellout

doubt. I do wish I could have a long talk w/ devs, we could sit down in a zoom meeting or have a cup of virtual tea. This game is a sleeping giant. My PoV is still that people DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WANT. They think they know, but they don't. You are gonna lose some people in general to change, but the best thing to do would be to optimize what can be optimized, like if you have a system that detects when you hit the handle of a wep and registers 0 dmg, you have a chance to make some crazy combat. Imagine if parry was like sword swing where you could move it around haha.

But yea I think the game is confused enough that nobody sees the gold, yet, and it's hard to imagine if they do figure it out that they'd sell out. The more mechanically sound they make the game, even with occasional wonk, the more players will play, no matter how hardcore it is.

I was gonna buy Conan but I watched my friend play thru steam and was like hehhhh, he was kinda like hehh, too. Maybe I'm wiling but I think MO has a lot more potential than those games.

A) There is no way the market for a niche game like this would even draw their attention. Its not a project that brings in or can bring in a lot of cash. By design because:
B) Its a passion project of Henrik and Seb. The only reason they'd ever sell it to anyone would be if it could mean that they could make another game that could become the real big project. But I don't see them wanting to give up on all the lore and hard work of the IP they have created so even that would probably be very unlikely.

So, no?

Yeah hopefully. I mean Tencent has bought out a lot of pvp sandbox games so it's not out of the question and if the game is successful at all I'm sure they will try to buy it

Conan Exiles was pretty fun while it lasted. The main problem is the only people playing it now are the sweaty alpha mega-clans. So it's just super aggressive all the time. The second you start to get settled a ten man mega clan will wipe you

Not sure if Tencent will be in a position to buy out other game studios in the foreseeable future, as there appears to be some sort of government crackdown on all the tech giants in the country since last year from what I've heard.
