Why are we getting Sarducca when the game is missing core systems?

Systems and content long demanded but non-existent:

1) Fletching
2) Enchanting (or some kind of normalized way for people to access essence orbs without being in a zerg or engaging in RMT)
3) Thievery (this seems to be abandoned entirely)
4) Breeding
5) Jewelcrafting (instead of creating a fun system like this, SV just buffed all of the low tier rings)
6) Tindrem Docks
7) City NPCs to increase immersion
8) Lore/world building content (could be tied to 7)
9) Woodcutting/Mining tasks
10) Risar invasion

I figured I'd stop at 10, but this list could be much longer. Any one of these would be better for the game than splitting an 600-800 pop game's playerbase in half. Sucks to think that time that could be spent developing any of these things is being lost to Sarducca, which will almost certainly kill the game for good when it releases.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but in their recent trailer video for Sarducaa, if you watched all the way to the end the narrator ends with the words, "Now, get off my ship!"

I don't know if SV was dropping a hint with this, or if it was just a meaningless one-liner. Time will tell.

It is a way to do a character reset. You have to start a new toon to go to island so it is a good cash grab for a few months while the PEW PEW guys go at it till, they get bored again.
The world is too big to focus so much on Fortnite style PVP it has to have other things to do.

The biggest surge in players post-launch came from the necromancy update. Literally just a long-awaited skill and a mid dungeon. The game is a sandbox - people who play want to be able to do cool things in the sandbox. Creating a second sandbox (this one made of literal sand) is not what the playerbase is demanding.

No doubt there will be a surge of players, but when they quit the game will be twice the size with the same 500 actives.

breeding for colors.

custom titles / player text descriptions

better text in the world. WORDS MATTER. Like the things that pop up on screen are WACK. "Go to home." "Turn back if you aren't prepared."

Just a massive 'buff' to how the game itself relates to players and allows players to relate to each other.

Chars that aren't fkn ugly.

Salvaging! Melting trinks into flux. Let shards for orbs be a rare drop for all mining dur.

Def need mining tasks and transport tasks... e t c. Cmon.

The essence orb accessibility issue is real, locking that behind zergs or RMT is rough for solo/small group players who just want to compete. That said, I'm not totally convinced Sarducca will kill the game if they handle it right, though I get the fear of splitting an already small pop. Would definitely rather see them knock out 2-3 of these core systems before adding new landmass, especially breeding or jewelcrafting since those could actually give people more reasons to log in daily. At the end of the day, it feels like they're spreading themselves too thin when the foundation still needs work.
