Taming fails too often

Hey,
I don't know if I'm too stupid. I got 100 Taming, and 100 pet lore.
Tried to tame a black bear (level 50). Took ~20 attemps. Okay.
Then I tried to tame big Dire Wolfe. 50 attemps, still not tamed.
Then I tried to tame a young Dire Wolf. 30 attemps, also not tamed.
Is there any special trick to tame pets or is it just insanely hard?

SV atleast could implement some message like this creeature is rarely able to tame or this creature is easy to tame to indicat eif its evne possible. "this creature ist to old it can tbe tamed."

i dont remember the date but taming did become horribly hard ... if the skill to make them lvl up faster was free , i would be okay with it but it's a primary sooooo tame young pet and go afk dummy training

You really can't take animals that aren't young. It should be more clear about that though l. Like 'Animal is too old to tame'. I think the game would benefit a lot of they just took a month to add more descriptions and messages. A lot of stuff is just vague, confusing or not even finished

This was supposed to balance taming.

I think all it does it make it so you will only bother to tame the strongest creatures

this was a terrible implementation, all you had to do is make young Tames 100% and the Elders impossible and In between maybe around 30%

Todays patch notes: "Fixed issue with taming which made it much harder than intended when taming difficult pets. "
