To be honest, I think Henrik will give up here. He's already made several million, and frankly, I suspect this is his last attempt. And perhaps that's for the best. I'll keep waiting for that great medieval MMO that never seems to arrive, the one I can waste my last years on.

I still say the current GAME opposed to model. There might be technically more people logged in with a f2p model, but would the content in the game get better, as this is a sandbox, and that is where the real content comes from. They just need to fix the game, make it more exciting and more solo-able. Make it viable to go out and adventure and make it so that players are the main threat your face when doing that. Facilitate that.

There are so many bandaids, but they are not even on the worst parts. For now, all changes in the game should be focused on promoting action.

War system change is a NERF to action; caravan camp is a buff. Let's watch what happens.

I hope that if caravans take off that they are able to add brokers and make them places for murder hobos to use as their home. Never thought I'd say the game needs more murder hobos, but it just does. A murder hobo and a red guy in a zerg guild are way different in terms of the content they create imo.

Ich glaube nicht, dass Ihre Aussage korrekt ist. EvE Online ist seit 2003 im Abonnementmodell erhältlich.
Und mehr als 30.000 Accounts loggen sich noch immer täglich ein.
Und EvE ist wirklich ein sehr anspruchsvolles Nischenspiel.

PS: Ich habe gerade wieder über 200 € bezahlt, um weitere 24 Monate Abenteuer in diesem Universum zu erleben. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn MO im Fantasy-Genre Ähnliches erreicht hätte.

It's not competitive specifically because the people that do spend this kind of money on games would rather get more value for their time by playing one of the thousands of other games on the market, old and new. The game needs to continue to improve, cutting the sub fees does not fix the core problems the developers need to address. Luckily, this has recently been acknowledged by SV in the discord regarding their new direction, and given some of the recent improvements to the game with wayshrines, caravans, and the new town banks, the game is heading in that direction.

That being said, I would appreciate some sub sales every so often, a common initiative used by competitors. I bought the cape packs specifically because of the 3-month sub deal, not necessarily the capes. Many people are on the sidelines wanting to wade into Nave but the full $15 makes them wonder if it's worth it; a lot haven't touched the game since the first year or two, and would be surprised by at least some of the improvements; a discount would definitely entice at least some of these people.

These people don't renew their subscriptions because they're waiting for new things, waiting for a moment when it's "more worthwhile" to subscribe, and if you don't have an active subscription, it becomes an obstacle to returning to the game, and they go play other games that don't charge a subscription... if there were no subscription fee, these people would continue logging into the game to play every day or at least socialize with friends...

The game world was fascinating because it united all these peoples... that was magical, nowadays that diversity is gone and entire clans have left the game... friends who are missed in our community.

When you get into the numbers of how many total subscriptions that is for a single game, you're looking at hundreds of thousands into the millions of players that pay subscription costs higher than what Mortal Online 2 costs. This isn't a subscription cost problem, it's a value problem. (Again, I did mention the value of a discount as well, something they should be doing more often)

I understand the cost of living varies wildly in the world, I've known many people myself from these areas. Gaming is a multi-billion dollar industry, and unfortunately the price to play is not dictated by the people who cannot afford it. At least things like Geforce Now have come along and allowed more people to play without spending their yearly income on a computer. When you start to look at hobbies outside of gaming, some are cheaper, some are INCREDIBLY expensive.

At least half my guild would resub if breeding came, as well as many other guilds, and I know of entire guilds that would do the same for that or similar content.

Free to play Haven would also be immensely helpful; after the rework about a year ago it is a massively positive experience for new players.

I still speak to many inactive players as well, and they share what they, their friends, and guildmates feel (many of them I had the same discussions with before they left). You and your friends experience is not the same as everyone else's experience. I also talk to many active players whose friends and guildmates share the same sentiment I have about the content. Their game loops are lacking, promises and dreams of grand features have not been kept, so they cannot justify paying the cost to be here. A cheaper sub would help people resub sure, but this would not alleviate the problems these people have, and many would still be frustrated.

The NA server should have a large influx, this is an example of another group that is waiting for this to arrive before subscribing.

As stated above, there are operating costs, salaries, and investors to consider. It's a business, they can't just slash their revenue and hope enough people return to a game that still has the same problems and missing content they crave.

To own medium houses and strongholds, you need to be Premium.

To use camps at dungeon entrances, you need to be Premium.

To send items through the Veredarium, you need to be Premium.

And to use spirit teleports, you need to be Premium.

Premium players can register more items for sale.

Slower reading speed for free-to-play players.

Exclusive tasks for premium players.

The game being free-to-play will attract many more players to the world of Mortal Online 2, and all these advantages will make many of them interested and become subscriber players.

My suggestion to make the houses exclusive to premium players was aimed at preventing the game from being polluted by secondary account structures...
The fact that the Veredari is exclusive to subscribers was precisely to make investigations less laborious... remembering that nothing prevents a subscriber from also violating the rules, since the monthly fee is not high.

The sole purpose of my suggestion is to increase the game's player base, and even if this doesn't please everyone, the best card we have is the end of the subscription.

I'll say this, it has been acknowledged the unsubbed upkeep situation is being addressed. It sounds like they will be turning that off, but not certain when that will happen.
