Henrik on stream after asked why he buffed outburst said that it was only for PvE and that they would look back into outburst to tweak it because of how overpowered it is in PvP.

I play a mage and my main spell now is out burst. I used to play excursively foot archer and then mounted archer.
Outburst just makes the slight DPS edge a archer had in PvP disappear. A outburst does slightly more damage then a 112 sponge/crep long bow against molarium armor. Along with being a full second faster to cast then for a long bow to pull back.

Outburst 2.2 second charge time.
Longbow 3.2 second draw back.

Hitscan up unblockable, unmitigated damage to 40m which is just a few steps in from name range. Moving and trying to dodge doesn't work most of the time as its really easy to land. Some one hides behind a tree you just strafe a little bit and shot their arm for full damage. You can repeatedly hit a moving target with outburst after outburst. You are usually faster as a mage and can run up close enough to charge a outburst cast and catch up again.
Arrows have drop, travel time, sway while aiming, and you cant move while aiming. If a player stands still you can land one hit but they will always react and move while popping a bandage to heal your archer damage away.

In less then 6 seconds you will do 60 damage to most players with outburst. In less then 8 seconds you will have done 90 damage half of most players HP. If they are running away you have plenty of range to just sit and cast outburst over and over with only you failing to land hitscan hits somehow. Complete over tuned and game breaking. The more mages you have all you have to do is outburst at name range to just destroy health bars.

The damage needs to be reverted on outburst. Mage was already too good. Need the promised tweak. Just give these spells extra % damage increase on mobs only.

hur dur get high psy, then the spell that immunes armor will still do good damage but do normal damage instead of OP damage.

Sorry wanted to see what it felt like to be SV's ideal demographic. This game really needs to figure out what it wants. People are supposed to fight over resources and stuff, have TC, etc but theres no reason to wear anything above animal mats garbage because mage ignores the better armor anyway. And mages dont even need mats they can do the same damage while naked with 1s risk in a few regs. And then the second best class, MA, just needs a cheap animal mat bow and some vendor arrows to zerg and do op damage. So theres no reason to even get better mats. The entire gameplay loop and progression doesnt even function. The only reason for someone to log in and do anything is to say they are playing in the sandbox. Everything in MO revolves around getting better stuff or fighting over better stuff, and hording better stuff. But none of this means anything, you dont need anything, "better" mats suck and are a waste of time to get. which is probobly good because MO2 doesnt really want people fighting anyway. But I'm not sure what a player is supposed to do at that point.

Frankly, I don't believe you are a mage. I think you are just upset again about mages actually being a threat. You are one of the hard antimages on this forum.

Same old "Mages are OP and need to be nerfed," but never any actual examples of how they reck as hard as you want us to believe.

This might change with the new mage armour. But either way, I still see mages wear armour. Naked mages are very rare. Most dex mages wear ranger armour, which isn't cheap to make or get the spider egg. Spirit boxes are going to get very expensive.

If you allow a naked mage to stomp roll your party, then you need get schooled about archers. With a longbow, I promise he will die before he even gets 3 spells off. And if he avoids your arrows, then he isn't casting spells.

They cant be parried. They are the fastest race in the game. I can't tell if you're trolling or stupid. Mages are stupid op and low skill cap tbh lol. Why do you even try to defend it haha.

This is so ironic, I was actually going to mention your name as one of the regular antimage posters without substance to their arguments, but I thought I'd rather leave it than to stir up a hornet's nest.

You just insult people without any based arguments and just scream OP OP. I've challenged you many times to post this OP Mage build so that I too can go reck all the foot fighters and accept your argument, but you never reply.

The fact that you assume there is only one race that play mages, shows how little mental effort you put into your arguments. Ohgmir Fat Mage is a played build, 10 Dex...

Arrows can't be parried, archers are fast builds as well, guess you complain about them OP as well.

Justified that mages can do 200 + damage in under 20 seconds without any counter play isn't op. You my friend struggle with basic arithmetic. It's just mind boggling you people have no clue how math works lmfao. Also, archers are op anything without a counter is op. If youre too stupid to realize this then you probably have a problem with solving puzzles in childrens games too lol.

My friend plays mage. He gave up on being a FF. We laugh our asses off with every kill at how dumb magic is. Its zerging ability is out of this world. As a 2 man group, getting zerged and having no chance to fight back happens often. So we both roll super low risk. Low risk melee gear sucks. My weapon is garbage, and hits people in half decent armor for crap. My friend, hits for full damage. My friend also doesnt use stam to attack, making his chasing potential significantly better than mine. If we get zerged by Ma's or something hes dead but so am I, so nothing there changes. But when we do get a 2v2 we either just glass someone and then kill the second or he runs around while I kill the other. So theres very little cons over him being a FF, and many gains.

When I say naked mage is op, I dont actually mean anyone should run naked mage. My point is more that for me to do full damage on a ?FF, I need to risk a good weapon. and if I have a good weapon I also want armor. also the armor is very important because if I can hit them they can hit me. Mage can do full damage naked with a few regs. If your group is outnumbering them, its much harder for someone to go for your naked mage. If your fighter attacks their foot longbow guy, he cant kill the naked mage. the naked mage can then continue being super annoying, healing and doing full damage through armor. But, if this team mate was a naked fighter with a flake weapon, he'd be virtually useless and die. A naked foot longbow man is close to the naked mage, and can contribute much more than he should. This is because bow balance also sucks.

Also mage gear is usually always less. Spirit boxes and some regs could end up costing a lot. But they also arent needed. Outburst right now is op and costs dirt to use. Ranger armor book can cost a lot but once a smith has it he can make ranger armor out of cheap mats. And high end mage armor vs high end melee armor, the melee usually always costs significantly more in resource costs.

What do you view as high end FF armour and in comparison high end Ranger armour?

Outburst was better when it was called fireball and it actually had a travel time. It kinda gave it the needed balance.

Merely aesthetically it would be awesome if it was an actual visual object like in MO1.

Yeah seriously, mages can be interrupted and can't move while casting. Archers can move and not be interrupted. Comparing them is silly
