I had an idea for books. I thought it was pretty smart.
Books instead of the way they work now, when you used them you'd be guided through a sort of 'curriculum' which pertained to the subject. It would LITERALLY TEACH YOU about things through reading, like books should!
But, here is the cool part; upon completion of reading the book you would be quizzed. This quiz would consist of X amount of questions, all multiple choice for simplicity sake, and these questions would be pulled from a pool of questions (As to avoid the same 10 questions and people cheesing the books). So lets say 10 questions pulled from a pool of a 100 questions related to the book material.
The higher you score, the faster the book reads + skill given flat upon quiz completion.
So a low score would indicate the book reading slower, with lower skill given (We could say a score of 1 out of 10 gives a flat 1 point in the skill, and 10 out of 10 gives a flat 10 skill in said skill. Can't be anything higher then that IMO otherwise the value of that skill goes down the quicker it is leveled.)
