Eh. Not really and that's the point of this thread. Additionally, a lot of races don't have enough attributes to devote to PSY.

I just need three mages to delete most players instantly.
So your Point of this thread is that any race should have points left to be high on psy? 🙈 without sacrifice anything else? Good idea let’s do it! 😌

I should have all of the max and none of the min. Nevermind that if I got hit in the head with 3 cuprum axes I would die instantly, that part isn't important.

We also need to nerf all weapons and bows ofc, my mage is getting killed to fast, I don’t enjoy getting 2 shot by heavy weapons 🙈 iam out of this discussion 😉🍺

My character with 70 psy got hit for from 55-64 damage 9 times out of 10 hits, the 1 time it resists it is hit for 33 damage. This from a bulging sheevra foot mage, not even an oghmir. Psy is simply not worth getting.
If you fear mages, roll a psyfighter. Problem solved.
No, it isn't problem solved. Psy doesn't work.
You CAN choose to wear better armor on your mage, you CAN choose to be faster and outpace foot fighters as well. There isn't a choice that any race of foot fighter besides Veela CAN make to shield against magic. I don't want mages to be useless, I play a mage too, but their damage is too high now. For some reason it is higher than in MO1, not sure why. If SV ever makes mages able to PVE their population will explode if damage is kept at this level, especially when other schools come out.

So three mages can delete most players instantly... I wonder what chances one mage has against 3 foot fighters then ? (also when fighters can easily have bows too)

I am not asking for 70 to fully counter mages, just to have some effect. Because 70 psy does basically nothing, but 90 is good? Please get fulmed 10 times with your 90 psy char and tell me what damage you get and how many times you resist out of 10. I am curious, or my char is bugged or something.
I would have to lose a lot of strength to get 90 into psy, so maybe I will need to reroll.

Mage is not overpowered you are just mad I nuked your horse. It musta been low level.

I would have to lose a lot of strength to get 90 into psy, so maybe I will need to reroll.
Def reroll even 20-40 resist quite a bit and instead of just resist like mo1 it has damage reduction on top of that.

I no longer have a bulging sheevra, but I ran a test with a stout sheevra. 14 psy vs 60 psy. Average fulm at 60 psy is 40 damage, at 14 psy it is 55 damage. The only thing that I can think is that the attributes didn't take effect properly until I relogged. I had just moved the points from int at the time.

Mental Projectile hit me for 87~90 with 15 PSY. Literal sniper shot range. Enter the age of the fat mage.

pics? Cause I am bulging mage and do like 50 I feel like those numbers aren't accurate.

Magic reflect? Purify? Purify Potion (they're ingame yet, right?). Works also without 100 psy. You just need to be willing to spent the points.

Fat mage can hit fulms for 80+. With the implemention of spiritism fat mages are able to kill someone in 9 seconds(6 seconds in some cases) from 3600 range which is almost the same range as outburst. You can also steer the horse while casting mental projectile. The game is truly going downhill.

You are mistaken, Psy is well worth getting. Fat mage here can confirm i can deal 80 damage with a Fulm at 138 Int vs 20 PSY foot fighter. I look at Mage vs Foot Fighter like this. My Mission Snipe you for as much damage as i can before you can get close. It takes me 3 Fulms or 3 Flamestikes to kill a foot fighter. The issue is the range of those spells and the charge time. Usually at most i can do 1 Flame or Fulm and 1 other faster charging spell before the enemy foot fighter is attacking me. Once the melee is in melee range as a fat mage i can't run away, as a fat mage i also can't deal any more spell damage because chance of casting spell uninterrupted is 40% and warriors can combo 2 charge hits and a 3rd fast strike making it so i have zero chance of actually ever doing another spell..... Against a PSY fighter those fulms are doing 55-64 damage like you said at 64 damage that is 192hp from 3 hits. Most Foot fighters have 200hp. Meaning i need 4 strikes to kill you. Because i can usually only cast 1 Fulm or Flame for 64 damage followed by a Outburst 25 damage against a PSy fighter before the enemy foot fighter is in my face with a weapon. Now i fight a uphill battle of trying to get any thunderstrike 40 damage or outburst 25 damage spell to work which rarely happens. Even if i do get lucky i need 5 more Outburst possibly 6 when you think about passive regen and bandages. And about 4 more thunderstrike. So honestly the chances of me killing a Normal foot fighter that has No Psy is ended in 3 fulms, chances of me killing a Psy Fighter impossible. If we talk about Dex mage the damage the mages deal is even less and the number of spells to kill opponent increases against foot fighter and Psy foot fighter.
