I figured this out. The skill book to get the Long Katana skill is the Khurite Long Blade book.

I never purchased this book for myself. I do know that the name is a traditional source of confusion for book-shoppers.

It does not seem to be part of the book as my mate has just read it but I still missing the hilts. Does anyone know where you get the hilt as couldn’t see an obvious book?

I found a guy that said its bugged at the moment, you can craft the khurite two hand hilts but there is no skill progression or book for it

Khurite hilts are currently under the same skill as the khurite blade. Which means you can technically craft a max skill khurite blade and hilt without even having the hilt crafting skill. For now.
