when u mine or woodcut ,make to get the same amount of resourses each strike without decreasing them, and when the resourse is depleted, make the spot disappear until it has maximum regenerated
The systems could use some changes for sure.
But I think there is more to depleting nodes than one may first think.
At some point gathering at a reduce yield is a waste of time and tool dura.
So players that keep on top of that will get better results.
While those that don't will not get as good of results.
Basically the more active gatherer is rewarded better than a pure afk one.
In addition the depleting nodes can also lead to something similar to prospecting.
For example, there is a rock there but you do not know how much it is producing until you mine it.
So a player has to test areas to see if they are worth mining or not.
If the rocks where to disappear then this would again remove some aspects of gathering.
Trees are a bit different than mining a rock face though. I do think it would be good for them to fall and produce a finite amount.
I have suggested this for all gathering before but it could fit trees alone as well.
And that is that the resource grows over time and provides better yield the older it is.
This would have a similar effect as how it already works. But a tree for example could fall and eventually start to grow again.
The gatherer could then check resources to see how much they would produce and decide if it is worth them doing it or not.
So again this would reward those that actively search out better resources.
While still allowing the pure afk gatherer to gather with less yields.
