Guild System Feedback

Just some quick Guild System feedback for improvements.

  • Kick timer does not belong. Make it clear which ranks can remove people from guild and make it instant. 1 hour of logged in time is absurd. If you are banning someone in-game it's usually for a good reason.
  • Online indicators look too similar, it's difficult to tell at-a-glance who is online and who is offline. Make offline some other color.
  • Guild ranks are meaningless and unclear which does what. No ability to customize their permissions. It would be more ideal if we could rename them and change their permissions.
  • Some people find it unclear how to disband a guild and are confused by the options of "Leave Guild" and "Abandon Guild". Consider changing one to "Disband Guild".

look at it from another side so if u were kicked and u had 20-30k in a bank in a guild keep or something would you be fine with writing that off the 1 hr in-game is a necessity otherwise you don't have time to move out

I is about being fair yes the person you banned could troll you or something but it protects a lot of ppl from losing out

My Mind
I agree with all but the kick timer - the reason I disagree is because the I think an instant kick should just be a different command. If you want to give a guy some time before it's over, give the soft boot, otherwise, hard.

You could argue that it isnt needed, though. If a person is leaving on good enough terms that they can ACCESS any guild banks, I dont think that is an issue. If your guild doesnt want you to use their banks, they'll kill you for the hour.

They also need to fix it so that when there is no one in a guild anymore that guild automatically gets abandoned and removed. Potentially also auto promotions for the next in line when the guild leader is gone.

Instant kicks can be and have been abused by changing guilds within a minute when running into a big fight or a siege. Another issue has always been the guild war which allows to kill somebody from an enemy guild in town. You can stand next to a victim, change into the guild with guild war, kill the player and get kicked from the guild immediately after looting.

We need timers! Leaving a guild should get a timer of at least one hour (ingame or offline time, I don't care). And changing to another guild should be allowed once per day or even less.

Online time would be bad since you would not be able to get rid of inactive players...

The best guild/alliance system i have ever used was in EVE.
If guild leaders get good tools to work with, quality of team work and political gameplay will add a lot to Mortal.

just make it so when kicked you lose access to all guild resources immediately, but still can be safely targetted by other guilds for purposes of guild war. so a 'limbo' period where your tag will not show but you will be a valid guild war target. i dunno about the online time requirement and what purpose that serves, maybe its to prevent ninja attacks and logout to avoid retaliation?

I do see the point people are making about the guild removal timer. I just think there needs to be a healthy middleground that protects guilds as much as individuals, so that when a guild removes someone they don't have a full hour to do as much spiteful nonsense as possible.

Anyone have any thoughts on the other bulletin points? Any additional suggestions? We've had it for a couple months now and it's still very lacking.

Here's another:
Guilds should be able to fund and pay for (at a proper cost) a guild bank that can have permissions adjusted by rank for deposits/withdrawals with a basic system for tracking who deposited or withdrew what. People rightfully have concerns about abuse of glitching into "Safe" areas to rob chests or by abusing ghost mode or Spiritism to reach guild chests, on top of having no accountability with them. Even the trashiest MMOs have basic guild banks, it's not a steep QoL addition.
