Pretty much trash, the gems you can get through the mining action you get regardless if you have a clade that warns you about it or not, only difference is you know that you can get a gem from that node. Its not really worth to go looking for gems though.

Highly situational clade gift. I don't think its worth going specifically for gems, which would only be useful for a tiny influx of cash and or using it to pay for books that take only gems as currency.
