The Subject: Housing & Territory Control

This series of feedback posts are collectively meant to be easily digestible, 5 steps or less processes to fix the respective system of Mortal Online 2 being critiqued.

t;dr No complex powerpoint or video needed, ez <= 5 step plans to fix MO 2.

The Steps

  1. Do not allow taxes to be added to the existing tax pool for houses and strongholds on unsubscribed accounts. It's unfair to paying subscribers, significantly degrades the performance of the server/game client, and leads to an excess of taxes being collected via outposts. Resolved with the Sarducaa expansion.
  2. With the above change, leave the ability for any guild member to pay the taxes on a house attached to a subscribed account otherwise unchanged.
  3. Only show claimed houses and strongholds on the map if they are owned by your guild or an ally. Castles owned by neutral and war targets should remain visible at all times.
  4. Separate Chancery tax pools into a "deposit only" (for manually deposited gold, without the option of withdrawal) pool and a "tax pool" (from Outposts, with the option of withdrawal), pulling currency from both for Territory Control structure taxes. Alternatively, just disable withdrawal of currency altogether from the Chancery.

3. When I need to find my way around Myreland, it's a real hassle trying to keep track of all those points. If there were a way to tell them apart, that would make things a lot easier for me.

Personally, the only thing that would make me build my own house would be different designs. I’m sick of houses that are half-Tindremic and half-something else; I’d really like to see different styles, including variations in the components that make them up—just like with players’ gear.
- If it’s made of Tephra ore, I want to see the difference; if it’s made only of Saburra and Whitewood, I want to see the difference.
- -If it’s a house made of Ironwood and Woodstone, I want to see the nuance.
- - - And most importantly, if I just want a house in the Vadda Mohki Bakti style, I want to see a different blueprint and, therefore, different architecture.
- - - -And if I really want a shabby wooden cabin like Jungle Camps—since I consider that camp to be pretty lousy—I want to see it built that way.
