This series of feedback posts are collectively meant to be easily digestible, 5 steps or less processes to fix the respective system of Mortal Online 2 being critiqued.

The Steps


  1. Expand the tutorial to cover the basics of Magic, Combat Abilities, and Mastery.
  2. For free new player hype points, let them pilot a non-wheeled Manganon to kill or destroy something as part of the tutorial.

The idea of having a magic tutorial, or being given the maximum possible magic points so we can test them out – I quite like the idea, but it needs to be limited to prevent players from discovering everything; so, given that it seems complicated, it’s just as well not to do it.

1. As for Masteries, I’d be all for being able to put 2 or 3 points into them between levels 0 and 5 or 8, and being given the option to reset them, and all that sort of thing.

2. Manganon, honestly, there’s nothing more annoying than having to use touch controls and fire a weapon with a reload time like a long-range World of Tanks tank. I’m not sure that makes people want to play the game any more than that; it might even have the opposite effect – ‘but is it bad?’ – well, in my opinion, anyway.
