Can someone explain why Tf Mounts were buffed today?

Mounted are also much faster along with more stam. Im happy the steppe horse is closer to desert but now with the speed mounted can hit for half my health through steel armor.

Just shows that who ever is balancing the game doesnt play in the least bit.
Terror birds can't catch mounteds either. What a absolute dumb decision by the dev team.

I am not one bit surprised, this was something that progressively got worse over a long time in MO1 and maximized when breeding was added. It sort of makes sense that they want to cut travel times, and to do this they need to adjust mount speed.

An easier solution would of been to not make the map as large as it is, the size is a little too ambitious and just comes with it's own issues, especially when it comes to balancing certain things like movement speed for both foot and mounted.
A easier solution would have been allowing the players a voting system on what buffs/needs we want.

tamed pets are just a waste of time anyway, wait for dom. they should really put in beta some dismount mechanic to test out before launch.. atm mounteds are immortals.

RIp, the only good thing about a pet class would be to shit on mounted. Mounted just destroy pets as is.

I think it's good that the low skill play beats the no skill play. Now need to give the high skill play some tools to win as well...

RIp, the only good thing about a pet class would be to shit on mounted. Mounted just destroy pets as is.
They Have a Bleed but it only deals 2 damage per a Tick. It doesn't even Deal % damage based on enemy Hp so it isn't even a Low key Boss killer, It's just a Weaker Hp Pet that can't compare to Tank Hp of Campodon and White Bear, that can't deal as much damage as them, and can't catch mounteds so is useless. Gotta wait for Ranged pets. Sucks I was looking forward to a Off Meta way to fight Mounteds.

Why are mounted not taking extra damage from being hit while moving fast while footies take extra damage. Why has EQ dismount not been added into the game yet or real dismount for anyone else. MM fat is meta at the moment and prob will be for a long time but they nerf MA stam to the point you cant sticky back a MM even while landing 5 consecutive shots. The stam issue not really that much of a issue against foot but when you have a fat mage on a horse healing you can punish them for that.
Probably because who ever is making changes is out of touche with the game.

Don't like mounts? Get a long bow and use objects. Better yet, spend 300 points and invest a lot more into your build than the standard foot fighter. I never understood this argument. You don't have the right to kill every player you see just because you exist as a foot fighter. You have chosen to invest less and are therefore rewarded. Also not dying and not killing the enemy is not a loss. Good luck to any mounted group holding down any strategic point in game vs a foot group. Here are some examples where the foot group will win every time; keep seiges, mountain fights, forest, caves, dungeons. Every place that actually matters the foot group will in. Steel horse armor takes 30~ from a long bow. Horses only have around 300 health. You do the math on how that will turn out in a large fight with not even mentioning mages doing 80 through armor.

Game was doomed when they made the world 4X as big. Yes, it sounds cooler in concept. But bigger world means you need to go faster or travel takes too long. Which it does already. A fake fix to the world being too big is moving faster. But all the big world does is just make it so mounts are even more op. So game was destined to be mounted simulator sadly.

Lol. Its play mounted or dont play. Don't make it sound more complex than it is. Playing anything but mounted is a waste of time, and if you are mounted you cant die to anything that isnt mounted if you are trying to not die. A longbow can shoot them, but they can always ride off. If you get zerged by mounted while your on foot tho, GG, enjoy regearing, because you dont get a run away for free card liek they do vs foot.

But the world is six times larger making the majority of areas mounted-friendly, as well as the fact that there are a lot less places containing rivers, ponds, lakes, etc.

Also, most mounted can disengage when it gets rough for them - foot players can not disengage at will. They are stuck in their local area to rely on.

You have some good ideas, but this isn't the hill to fight over lol. The combat is a drag and mounted is just boring and shit.

So what? Battles aren't won by running away.
Ones of attrition where they eventually whiddle down the foot force untill they can outright kill them. Look at what happens in meduli. Mounted use GZ as a safe zone and then they come out and reset the crim of who they are fighting while they ping for 2 to 1 numbers. If those GZ mounted were footies then you could go far enough away from GZ that they would be stickied before they made it back to GZ.

Bows are a deterrent not a counter.

Games in serious trouble balance wise and we havent seen any ray in hope for balance fix before release. Its going to be a disaster.
