Auto Ghost walk

IDK Im ghosting every day that I play. Having to spend 1-2 hours every day just ghosting and maybe doing it twice is just a huge amount of time wasted.
Adding a cost to it might help like gold. But every zergs I sees brings gear, I dont really see it be that effective that zerg shows up naked.

Its really only conveintcy this adds.

I mean it wouldn't be that hard for someone to hand out armor and weapons at the bank to guild members. Not like you need high quality gear when zerging

So what is the difference if people take a 5 minute timer to teleport the town or if they run 5 minutes as a ghost through an empty world with nothing to interact with aside from a guy who might possibly banish you and you cant even defend yourself unless you are also a spiritist?

Its not gameplay, its a timesink in game to keep people from being able to instantly hop from town to town, no reason for it to be a real life time sink as well.

I am only transporting any meaningful stuff on the way back. If I "ghost teleport" to Bakti from Hylls I basically covered half the map in seconds and I am as close to Calx and all the jungle materials in Hylls as in Bakti. I realize you can already do this with the "home teleport" but the fact that it limits you to just one town has some significance, I cant teleport today to Bakti to get a Campodon and tomorrow to Meduli to get a desert horse without actually traveling there. And it may seem unimportant but if you combine this with a service like the one provided by the Royal Bank of Tindrem where you can just transfer your gold from any town to any town for a small fee you don't even have to bring the mats yourself to setup a temporary farming base anywhere on the map.

(edit: in fact would love to hear @Angelo 's take on this or @Ibarruri as I suspect having this ability would devalue the service they provide)

Is it game breaking or not depends on your take, I am not even sure myself but its not as innocuous as you are putting it.
Seems like you dont understand how the game already works, all I have to do is suicide and run to any town I want to get closer to the resources I am after or near the content I am going for, this is what people already do, unless you are in a large zerg who is looking for a fight people just ghost to the nearest town and work from there, thats how the game already works.

Allowing people to teleport the Bakti and grab a Campodon has no effect anywhere else but Bakti, people already do this anyways with ghost walking, and anyone who choses to use the teleport feature instead of traveling will have no idea how to get that Campodon out of Bakti.

People in here are acting as if "ghost walking" is something that people arent doing every single day. You die in a town full of enemies, you ghost walk to a new one, you want to get somewhere after you die that isnt your "home" priest you walk to a priest. Once housing is in most everyone will have "Home" set at their house. What do you do when your house is near Meduli but you've travelled to MK for the day and died out in the wild near Toxai? You walk back to MK as a ghost. Its a ridiculous unnecessary "punishment" for death

Seeing there is also an option to go to nearest priest, All this talk of having to walk to any town that is not your home priest seems odd.

Not only can you jump to there when you get close to your destination, you can also use other priests to get you closer as well.

Its no auto pilot for sure, but you could speed up your travel time significantly by running towards the nearest priest and hopping when you think it is closest.

It could also be seen as gameplay that requires some skill as well. Where the knowledge of the locations of priests would be helpful. As well as getting the distance right before jumping so you do not go to a priest other than the one you indented. Or worse yet back to the last priest you was just at.

Sure it is pretty limited currently. But it should become much easier when players start placing their own priests again.

Its is not skill based at all, you see a red beam and run that way or look at the online map and go the direction of the town you are looking for, not being sure if you are close enough to the priest or not isnt a skill, its just bad mechanics.

When there are priest all over it will be helpful. They will basically be teleport locations in the ether that players can leap frog through to get around the map. Sure you will have to run some still but it will be much easier than it is currently.

Well what the difference if they just ghosted there and handed out gear. Someone had to farm that gear. If you have a system that makes them have to wait till they are actually there just like walking there which they can already do. The only difference is that the game would be less boring.
