Proof that hardcore sandbox games with pvp anywhere anytime and full looting aren't an underground niche, though the unsuspecting masses by and large probably aren't prepared for what awaits them once they leave Haven and are immediately greeted by the more... direct... members of the community.
I agree. now everyone is super chill and helpful even in places like Kran and Gulkor everyone just does friendly duels and otherwise minds their own business.
this is not how it will be once persistence hits. Far from it.
the lawless towns will be locked down tight day and night by one red guild that will instantly kill anyone they see. Farming spots will be roamed by opportunistic player killers. Even blue towns will have groups of reds lurking just outside the guard zones waiting for anyone they can gank. And inside cities thief’s and naked mages will be harassing anyone they can.
Not to mention all the deaths from game glitches, bugs etc. most people won’t have the patience for the real MO, especially when you get fully looted just about every time you die. And you will die A LOT.
It's great to see Mortal 2 picking up coverage! Even if a tiny percentage of the viewers give the game a try, that will translate into hundreds or even thousands more players! And in a sandbox, it's the players that create the content, so here we go!
