It will also make it so when the new meta comes out, you can't just join the meta in a few days. Some people will choose to keep their character even if it isn't the meta because of the time it takes to reroll. That's a good thing imo.

Solo play will always be hard in an online role playing game. That should be a given. This game gets incredibly interesting with player created content later on.

Pretty much. Never once saw any of the higher tier pvp guilds in the GY griefing newbies. They may have killed a few once or twice but just to get people out of town for a fight and they usually leave the newb gear.
