    Shields didn't require points to use in MO1. You might use a shield because they soak up massive damage even when you don't block.

    He is European correct? He seemed like a normal fight against a European, whereas Pat is American and it's much, much worse in Bakti. Not similar at all.

    It isn't only him. Half the time everyone there is like that (so it may be me, but I haven't had that anywhere else.) I made the video from dueling him because he is well known and respected.

    They have much work to do on the server as well as the combat, this is what it looks like half the time in Bakti. It feels worse than it looks, with mouse not responsive and movement lurching.     No, because it affects every one. Landing the hit wasn't the problem precisely, being easily parried and not being able to parry were both issues. That was early in the game, not now, as well. Now everyone swings slowly and parrying is easy unless someone tricks prediction and animations get out...

    My point is that I, like nearly everyone else, moved crafting activity from Kran/GK into houses/keeps then walls as soon as possible making them ghost towns most of the time (no player community or economy.) Except when people logged fighters in to kill newbs exploring or groups coming to town...

    All of these situations had safe options. You could walk to guards or inside walls to afk for a minute. With a war dec you could easily drop tag if it got too hard. None of these are like living in GK.
