    Why does SV hate PvPers?

You can't avoid any PvP (or getting griefed), that is literaly what the game is about. I am also not advocating for no forced PvP. I am advocating for proper balance to not have murderers run rampant and have the entire thing devolve into a cluster fuck of people randomly killing each other...

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

Basically every single "gankfest" MMO failed. That should give one a hint or two. If I remember correctly every single full loot sandbox that was successful (and still is) has a lot of features that allow players to avoid PvP entirely and/or punish killers harshly. The rational conclusion IS...

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

I think the world is too big for this. Responding to a call if you have to travel to it for 20 minutes just for them to be already dead or otherwise gone isn't exactly fun in my book and just a huge waste of time. I don't want to play a travel simulator. Actively looking for PKs in the open...

How many people do you think SV lost with this whole launch fiasco?

It is still relatively "fresh" for a lot of people so they sit of course in graveyards. Give it a few weeks when most moved on from there and we'll see how much staying power this game actually has.

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

I wish there was some way to "mark" someone that you are then allowed to kill freely once. Like an NPC you can pay a sum and whoever your target is gets a permanent mark till you kill them. I mean, if I die somewhere out in nowhere to someone I have basically no way to punish them myself...

    Are PVP/PVE togglers serious?

I did. It was overly complicated for something that was essentially just a glorified PvP toggle.

    Are PVP/PVE togglers serious?

I don't think outright preventing PvP permanently is the way to go for a game like this. Involuntary pvp is a part of it. It only becomes a problem when it happens too frequently or is actively used to grief.

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

Every time I tried that so far got me killed, even after riding 20 minutes into the middle of nowhere. At some point there was always some bored guy and seemingly there is no punishment for killing someone far away from a village. I honestly believe more people quit over getting killed after...

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

Don't worry, if they don't push more severe consequences for greys and reds it will soon be at 500 players again. Just with a way too big and empty world.

    Are PVP/PVE togglers serious?

Define "reason". I have a hard time imagine a reason to randomly kill a blue player being justified. Stuff like guild wars should have a separate system anyways.

    Are PVP/PVE togglers serious?

The issue is that there is not severe enough punishment for even just going grey or at least it is not exactly easy to punish someone for it if they want to evade it. You can just randomly kill a dude in the middle of nowhere for no reason without any relevant downsides it seems and I believe...

I was ready for the House but...

Wait, houses can be destroyed? Well, another thing I can remove from my todo list then.

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

Because there is less murder going on as long as people have other things to do. If people start to get bored they are going on random murder sprees or quit. I've seen that more than once. The problem is as soon as this phase is reached people will probably leave in droves till only those are...

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

Might be a bit boring considering the size of the game world and its expansion plans. And after you've driven away all the non-griefers you don't even have people to freely grief anymore. On another note, GvG really gives murder counts? That is a weird design decision.

which game will be for me for the next 2 years? answer at 6 pm

I am really starting to like this community. It is full of hypocritical wannabes that constantly contradict themselves. :D

    Are PVP/PVE togglers serious?

I would think because a lot of people crave a more sandboxy kind of MMO but for some weird reason Sandbox MMOs tend to come with extremly niche PvP features (and some other weird design decisions).

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

Yeah, thanks for your pointless opinion. Remember that when the game is played by like 500 people in a few months that just continously grief each other and are wondering why no one wants to play their game. PS: "PvP" implies players fighting against each other. Killing a pet and then running...

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

How do you manage to pay attention to the game nonstop if you do something boring as mining? Plus, you can't even look around while doing so. Additionally, I am not a perfect shot, especially not while moving. I doubt many people are nor that any of them are newer players. Have you even read...

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

I am not talking about me. I was never bothered much by any of my "pvp" interactions. It just strikes me as really weird system that will ultimatively lead to the game bleeding fresh meat. I am actually interested in the games health because a game like this without players is kinda ... dull...

    Why does SV hate PvPers?

What are you supposed to do when one of the elven dudes with max dex comes along, kills your pet and runs away? Bonus points when you are just gathering stuff and probably don't have weapons with you anyways. And what are newbies supposed to do against way better geared/skilled people that...
