A continuation of the Real Time Combat thread & Some thoughts on netcode

    I haven't seen people teleporting since MO1.

A continuation of the Real Time Combat thread & Some thoughts on netcode

SV has implemented ping normalization so netcode isn't an issue anymore

Town Reputation (Possible counter to griefing in Towns)

    1. MO2 =/= MO1. There's also a setting in MO2 that prevents new players from being "griefed" by guards. 2. It's a lot easier to make lictors respond/teleport faster when a mount is being attacked than to hire players to bodyguard mounts. Players also don't one shot people like guards do so you...

Town Reputation (Possible counter to griefing in Towns)

Because letting the game turn into a griefing simulator like Rust or ATLAS is the antithesis of hardcore gaming

Town Reputation (Possible counter to griefing in Towns)

I'm also OK with increasing lictor spawn count and increasing their reaction times. Basically does the same thing, but hey, makes the game feel more hardcore for you.

Or just make pets invulnerable in towns.

    Equerry horse trainning like mo1

This and breeding. Kind of a pain to walk so far out of town to a mount spawn now.

Zerg guilds killed Mortal Online 1. Will MO2 be different?

It was faster paced because the game lacked polish and refinement. It was only possible in Darkfall because you had two spells that let you bunnyhop your way across the map if you knew how to hit spacebar just right, making you unkillable. Unfortunately, MO doesn't have such a mechanic unless...

Zerg guilds killed Mortal Online 1. Will MO2 be different?

You mean when the game was so underdeveloped it was possible wipe an entire mounted squad by baiting them into touching a small body of water?

    one character per account .....

He would choose to pay outside of steam, if able to.

    one character per account .....

It's not a big deal. Everyone has or will reroll at some point in both MO1 and MO2. You just get used to it.

    Taming as Profession Skill

If the only way to get aggressive pets was through dominating that means players need two primaries for dominating as opposed to one primary for taming. That already is a huge imbalance. Also, who is to say players can't tame pigs or horses and use them to fight as well? That would make taming...

    one character per account .....

You already don't need multiple accounts. The whole point is of the one account encouragement is for players to rely on each other to obtain all the goods and services they want, rather than having each person being able to do everything and anything.

Zerg guilds killed Mortal Online 1. Will MO2 be different?

No, because the only way that would happen is if my "19 friends" were understatted, undergeared footfighting oghmirs against 5 MAs out in the open.

    Housing...

MO2 =/= LO... In MO1 people did make a lot of walls that blocked off content yes, but the way server nodes were set up you couldn't just spam buildings in an area and expect the entire game to collapse. Actually, it would be difficult to crash a single node with how TC worked in MO1. In MO2 I...

Crash the server? no. Block off content? To a degree yes.

There are no high elves in this game.... I think it's back to Warcraft with you.

Zerg guilds killed Mortal Online 1. Will MO2 be different?

5v20? Yeah no. 3v10? Still no 1v5? Maybe if you're in the Tindrem graveyard, otherwise, no.

Some of the hairstyles really don't fit with the "jungle" aspect of being an alvarin. Additionally the eyelashes make them look like instagram models instead of the hunters that they should be.
