If servers aren't ready for people, why not give everyone a 3 hour timer for playtime and a 10min forced break before their next log in?
At least you can force people to cycle in and out.
Then you run into the problem of health reserve management. A more common issue for me. Gotta balance playing versus sitting around eating good health food.
Pretty sure I have been a developer for less years than star vault has been around and have been part of multibillion dollar projects.

Honestly whether or not they are locked in to their server won't matter, they'll have to count on some other game to make up the loses from development.
Why not just make a sword that does the same damage as a fist? Then the main advantage is parry and length. If you get killed by someone swatting you 30 times, maybe its not the sword.
As a new player 1 day into the game, my biggest struggle was the lack of direction. Pretty frustration actually. I didn't even know how to leave haven after the tutorial quests.

Honestly that error is the main reason I can't learn UE4 atm. Never happens with a game, but frequently with the UE4 engine. Running a 2070mq and it never seems to go away.
Everything I find online points to settings related to your cpu/gpu being unstable.
