Combat is boring, a note to Henrik.

There is a reason by game design by democracy does not work. I´m here for what SV set out to do when they started - not what it ended up being. The current combat does not facilitate the vision of skill based game. There is many for reason for this (which I´m not gonna list again) and IMO...

I think I sorta undertand your point. You agree with increasing the stamina regeneration, but you want to happen when moving? I think it´s better if it is increased in all states (walking/standing). In a 1 v 2 I find that you have to be aggressive at some point to finish one you opponents. That...

Do You Think the UI Needs an Update?

Yes, but fix the functionality first. There is lot that is bad about the UI, which will drive away players. It´s not as bad as MO1, but certainly far from other games.

Why we don´t need a flagging system

If there is a time to dream, think and be open minded - it´s now. I hope SV takes the time till march to test this further. There a few things as fundamental as the justice system and MO1 clearly showed what didn´t work. Any static system that relies on numbers deciding who gets killed by the...

Why we don´t need a flagging system

I explained my experience in the first post. That has been pretty consistent in Fabernum, Bakti and Meduli throughout the alpha. I´m obviously not claiming that everyone experiences exactly the same at all times but I have a good amount of hours to look back on. The only people who can truly...

Why we don´t need a flagging system

@Piet My line of reasoning is pretty clear. We have something that works now. Build on that instead of going back to something that did not work for 10 years. I´m obviously gonna wait and see what SV does, but to ignore the current data would be pretty reckless. We will never again be in a...

Why we don´t need a flagging system

Na, I think those things are very much in there. What would be a worthwhil experiment in your opinion? Or have you just given up?

Why we don´t need a flagging system

I´ve played A-PK as long as I´ve played with Zeal. I know the feeling of betrayal and hopelessness. Every time the flagging system was in the way. I can´t remember a single instance where it helped those that wanted to fullfill the "knight" role. It´s a bit of code and can´t hold moral value...

Why we don´t need a flagging system

Of course it is different, any experiment is different from the real world. Just because the bakteria I´m growing usually don´t get a high-dose glucose solution to grow on, does not mean that they wouldn´t be sustainable in the wild. I don´t think human behaviour will drastically change with...

Why we don´t need a flagging system

That is my point and why I made this thread. According to everyones logic it should, it is not. People have been peddling all kinds of theoriesabout how terrible a player run justice system would be. The reality is different. That´s what this experiment shows.

Why we don´t need a flagging system

So, on what counter strike server everybody bands together to kill just you? On which server will you be prevented to spawn if you act a certain way? I think you are ignoring the facts to suit your comparison. I´ve played plenty of death matches and Bakti is nothing like that.

Why we don´t need a flagging system

Have you ever played on a deathmatch server? I mean do you know what that means? Cause I get the feeling you don´t.

Why we don´t need a flagging system

Bakti is not a deathmatch, far from it. Changing the facts to suit your narrative is dishonest.

By the way, a high skill ceiling does not exclude noob tubes like that at all. Every game has them. But you don´t have to lower the skill ceiling to have them. It´s really two different things. If SV decides that pets are supposed to be that, that´s fine by me. They just should not be superior...

GE means global elite. "Being a Global Elite puts you in the top 0.75% of all CS:GO players. " --- You are getting close to the real issue. A high skill ceiling will make certain players feel in inadequate because they get outclassed by those that put in the energy to climb higher. Mortal...

In terms of twitch, tactics and game sense we had a lot of people who were GE in CS:GO. I don´t think that MO1 required even close the same twitch skill as CS:GO. So I think many actually reached that skill ceiling with ease.

Why we don´t need a flagging system

SV has stated that TC is going to be reworked and they were rather unhappy with how it turned out in MO1. So I think it´s a fair bet that we won´t have the same system. Having only one character makes player justice also much more effective. If you have to re-roll - instead of just switching...

It does not. The skill ceiling is the sum of all parts that go into being excellent at the game. Let´s say you rate how good you can get in any category with 1-10 points. All games have all of these categories. The game with the most points has the highest skill ceiling. MO1: Twitch: 7; Game...

Why we don´t need a flagging system

What do you mean by controlling territory? Painting the map with your colour by some game mechanic? Or actually being in the territory, using it´s resources and determining justice? PKs will suffer for their actions. In MO1 it was actually the players trying to protect the innocent that were...

Fingerspeed is handled by the brain: I know it is called "muscle" memory but it´s not actually laid down in the muscle, but specific parts of the central nervous system. Every competetive game that I played extensively needs more than just muscle memory. Your comments sometimes make it look...
