I hear ya, the plain jane skills should be easy to acquire but for some added depth to the system they need some higher tier skills that can be learned by those that choose to put in the effort to learn them. Even if those skills only give like a +10% better dura and damage to the final product...
I always thought the skill books were too easy to acquire and that really does make them feel like "fluff". Having certain skills gated behind accumulating Faction Rep before the vendor taught them to you would have been one way to make it feel a little more meaningful with some depth.
Surely a player with your magnitude of experience and expertise didn't skip over and not see Haven the beginning non-PVP area where you learn basic combat and the skill system/UI before you port yourself to the real world, lol....
Would be cool to see Bronze/Steel/Ect. tools giving a small buff to gathering rates or something, perhaps even using various metals in structures could give various structure resistance bonuses too.
Should have made a spell that could be cast on you and your group in the living world that blocks sight from the spirit world. That way you had the tools to block it if you wanted to. Just removing it altogether really took away from some exciting gameplay. Bad move SV.
It's all about that Risk vs. Reward. You brought a horse to the graveyard to load it up with carcass and heads that you otherwise couldn't carry on your own. You took the risk of using a horse to acquire more and thus became a bigger target.
Yes there was a stream awhile back where he said this. Only a few people might get the ability of a flying mount after killing a dragon or something like that. That being said, I hope flying mounts never make it into the game and they reconsider.
They'll get there eventually, in the mean time we've got to add one from Gray Fox.
The PVP skills in that room were legendary,
That little bone tissue armor guy never had a chance... 😁
Yeah this video is great too (I love all his MO vids), the reason I didn't choose it for the first post was because it focus's more on breaking into keeps vs sneaking up behind people and pickpocketing them but we have plenty of posting real estate here so add away if you know of any good...
There's been quite a few Discord posts as well of the same thing happening to others. Robmo has addressed it and said the new patch should fix it when it releases.
