EOS - Error 130 - Make sure you have steam running before starting Mortal Online 2.

Hopefully this will reach all the Japanese and other non-English speaking players out there who have quit because of this. I can confirm that running MortalOnline2.exe in the game's main folder with Steam already running will start the game and allow the player to log in.

EOS- Failed to init platform ERROR !

Thanks, this was a life-saver and I managed to log in just now. Weird thing is, my Windows account has only the standard alphabet letters so I can rule out that explanation. All my other games work fine, though I recently cloned all my drives to bigger SSDs. It is only MO2 that is giving me...

EOS- Failed to init platform ERROR !

I'm getting the error too, not sure why because everything was working perfectly before. @Henrik Nyström @Sebastian Persson @Herius Could we have an official response to this please?

    Make Magic More Freeform

I've read a number of feedback threads about how lacklustre magic is, and is essentially a carbon copy of MO1's magic system at this point in development. Instead of having a static system where every spell is cast once the required reagents are on hand, make it so that the spell effect is...

    Beta Patch Notes 0.1.10.5 Discussion

Just make ghosts visible (and attack-able in some way) when they use transcendental awareness. If they can see into the living world then the living world should be able to see them too.

Early views from a new player

I think that is why if SV and the community can help guide new players to learn to think on their feet and take the steering wheel on their own, getting killed will become less of an occurrence, and even when it does happen, a learning experience. If they quit because they got killed by players...

    Beta Patch Notes 0.1.10.5 Discussion

I see. Not sure if I'll like this if I was a TC guild about to go to battle with an enemy guild. They could send one of theirs as a ghost past the palisades and find out troop numbers and where they're positioned. It's something that should only be done by the living, in my opinion.

    Beta Patch Notes 0.1.10.5 Discussion

"Transcendental awareness now works for Ghosts to allow them to see the living world." Am I reading this correctly that ghosts can now act as invisible spies?

Early views from a new player

The Tindrem arena (already added, pending its flagging system) will likely serve the purpose you described, though obviously the lawless wilderness out there will always be present and isn't ever going away. I myself am not good at pvp in any stretch of the imagination, so I have developed my...

Early views from a new player

@hadrius First of all, welcome to our community and thanks for your feedback. Many of us who have been playing MO2 closed beta (and MO1 before it) for a long time probably wouldn't have noticed the areas you pointed out that may need improvement. Regarding the bank system, everything you've...

    Gunpowder in MO2

Gunpowder would render all armours and palisades instantly obsolete, as it did in real-life history when gunpowder and the muskets and cannons that used it were invented.

    What does Hardcore mean?

For me, this is what hardcore means. A world where nowhere is safe. Your survival isn't assured and sometimes all that stands between you and certain death is your timely use of your shield and a large boulder that just happens to be beneath your feet. All the while the odds are heavily stacked...

After Haven: how to choose a city for newcomers to MO

@MazinkaiserDX Yes, you will need saburra powder during the refining process to make steel. Though if you bring back a full stack of 10k saburra powder it will last you a long time, depending on how much steel you plan to make. 🙂

After Haven: how to choose a city for newcomers to MO

Based on my experience so far in MO2: Tindrem: I would stay away from Tindrem until you've acclimatised yourself with how the game systems work and you're comfortable with being in a big city (which is quite big as it is even without the slums, port district, rich district and mage towers). The...

Move the Task Vendor to the Trade/Veredari Building

@Icegoten Provided the npc quests are dynamically generated, perhaps by player actions and world events, then that might work well as opposed to the kind we normally see in theme park mmorpgs. For example, a player might put up a delivery task at the task vendor then when other players go and...

Move the Task Vendor to the Trade/Veredari Building

The task vendor npc (at least in Fabernum) is currently located in the tavern which is an odd place for it to be. A more logical place would be the building where the trade broker and veredari npcs are located. Delivering a package for reward is a form of commerce, after all, howbeit a more...

    3rd person in Tavern

Full-length mirrors are the only solution that I feel I could accept, so if SV does bring that to the table then I'm all for it. Speaking of mirrors, maybe SV can make metallic weapons (and tools like the woodcutting axe) more reflective so the player can detect movement coming from behind but...

    3rd person in Tavern

I'm averse to any kind of 3rd-person view in MO2, for me it goes against the whole concept of the game itself. Kind of like allowing consensual pvp or global banking for what some might argue as beneficial reasons. But for whom? I think there is a question that the devs and players alike should...

    Tracking skill / Wondering Mobs

Rangers, bounty hunters, and scouts would love to have the tracking skill. And yes, dynamic mobs that move and do their own thing like Radiant AI in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion would make MO2 a cutting edge title.
