From what i hear from guildies, some people are able to, some have to wait hours but get in, others still cant get in after hours of waiting. Its seems EU players are having an easier time getting in, at least in my guild. But it could be just a coincidence.

Any build can have taming. It all depends on what else you want to do besides taming. generally speaking a full tamer with highest level pets wont be able to ride a horse so foot speed is important. This means Alvarians. Also healing your pet will be very important. Mages do this the best...

MO1 had all that, except the boats. Pretty sure MO2 will also get it in time. pve mmos are a dime a dozen. A lot of them much prettier than MO2, and with a crapload more content. we are all here for something else. MO2 is that something else.
