If I understand correctly, the subscription is set up to automatically renew monthly until canceled. But what happens with your character if you cancel? Gone? What if I'm an intermittent player and want to take a break from playing for a month without having to start over from scratch? Or play alternate characters for a few months at a time.
Will it be possible to pause a subscription?

When you are not subbed you will just not be able to get into game until you reactivate your sub.
Your character will not be deleted. Though your house and such could fall if you don't have your taxes covered.
