When does poleaxe training kick in

Training axes now...poleaxe trained a good bit but it does not reflect on my poleaxe training skill
Does my axe skill have to be up to 100 for poleaxes training to be reflected in poleaxe skill?

axe and spear skill lvl limitates poleaxes.

Yes, doesnt need to skill up to 100 to unlock it.

Also just using a poleaxe will level those both up simultaneously.
