Carnivorous plants. Ents. Would add some variety. Spore shooting fungi. Bee hives.

I completely agree with this, it didn't get enough attention. Moving in place magical trees like an ent or whomping willow, plants, fungi, how about carnivorous fish? These things make a world feel fantastic. Rock slides? Would be siiick. This is a very good idea.
Haha, reminds me of an old game called Quest for Glory 1. There are these fairies at the mushroom circle that only come out at night, if you upset them they make you dance until you can dance no more and die from exhaustion.
