There's 0 counterplay or punishment for mounted archers killing horses and running away.

Yeah fr, Also the only option to fight back shouldnt be Get off your horse. A MA should shit his pants if he sees a lancer. Thats just how it should be.

are lancers really that bad? i've never actually seen one.. which probably says they're pretty bad. I guess their horse would die long before they got to the MA though lol

I think spear is still better then lance. I dont really see MC that bad against MA but I guess thats because most MAs Im fighting are not good at it. Or maybe they just dont expect them to be MCd and allow you to be on top of them. I MC with a non crouching weapon. I with out any archery or MA skill can still land 15s on armored horses with a short bow which if very help full in some cases where they start to run after I chucked them with MC.

But yeah I think that the lance is still sub par to the spear which did more damage but lost a lot of dura with each couched stike.

MA is full cancer in this game. Ridiculously easy to play, so easy to kite, so easy to grief with, and if things get rough just ride away why not. And the damage is way too high. They really need some higher attack cooldown or something at least.

longbows especially ones made for oghmir will delete any horse armor in only a few shots.
