and yes Alvarins being overpowered does impact everyones perspective on balance to a point where we cannot even discuss most other balancing before nerfing them. Like 1h axes might be secretly OP but because they never hit Alvarins they dont get their full potential. This was a random example not that I am claiming they are op or will be just first weapon that came to mindthey work. Defensive stance seems to lower weak spot well. Armor does matter, too. Bows don't have armor pierce afaik, that is a clade skill.
It is probably shitty, but when people say wildly ignorant shit, it offends me and I wanna be like NO, but in some cases, it is better to just wait until people realize what I was trying to say by themselves. So, we come to 'bow dmg is high,' and it is, but there was an option to build to resist... bows... daggers... spears... lances. Quite a portion of the game weapons, tbh.
I feel like the fact that you are a thur and veelas can kite you really impacts your ideas on game balance. In an ideal world, you would want the game to be deep, fun, and balanced. That's what I want.
Pierce defense is the worst defense on armors because pierce damage has the most ways to go through armor and it has the most ways to be countered (down parry counters almost all pierce damage) outside bow users who again weakspot and armor pierce.
If you had 180 points to allocate to an afmof to make it as strong as possible you'd wanna do something like 80 blunt 80 slash 20 pierce and just parry down most the time meele wise. Having no blunt makes you a flopper to all weapons having no slash to most including spears/daggers coz they can spam rights now.
Old Draco had horrible stat set and was a troll armor.
