- Fixed issue where spawning from an ether portal and dying to guards instantly would cause you to not lose spirit boxes.
When dying to PVE with an ether portal up, you would retain the spirit box on death. Please note, this did not work in PVP.
They have actually removed this function entirely via the change mentioned above.
So; Spiritism, considered the worst magic school by a substantial margin, has received another massive nerf. The removal of an entire bracket of function for the ether portal.
Now, people say 'That was a bug! You were supposed to drop the spirit box!'... Well; i reported this as a bug originally, as i didn't want to get banned for using it.. Now, i can't discuss the response, because that is against terms; but needless to say, I continued to use it after the response i received.. So you make up your own mind on what they may have been said there. Also keep in mind, it has worked this way for YEARS even after i reported it.
Can we PLEASE get a spiritism buff?
I get it; not many people have the ether portal because of Odinseed's gatekeeping; but that doesn't mean you should just neglect it, when your players are spending thousands of gold to get access to it; and it has been considered terrible for years.
Honestly.. I think you should just allow us to see players from the ether world with awarness.. Maybe change it so they just look like a floating red orb, and we can't see their name or armor... Just let us know someone is there.
On top of that.. Can you please let us enter and leave ether portals faster, so it has some PVP functionality?.. Right now.. You literally have no time to get back in a portal in PVP. I mean, you make us leave the portal with no health, and we can't magic heal because we can only carry spirit boxes; and we're naked.. It would be nice to have our re-entry into the portal as our defense.
A playstyle that involves jumping in and out of portals, but is highly vulnerable to taking a single hit, is perfectly balanced. One arrow, and you die. One spell and you die. It is not something that is overwhelming or broken at all.
Also, adding a spell that allows people to mask their position in the real world, via spiritism, would be nice too.. That way you provide a multitude of utility to spiritists; as right now.. They have basically nothing but spirit farming (which is extremely unfun).
Finally, making it easier to banish would be nice too; so if say, a spiritist is scouting a group, they actually have a way of removing them as a threat (via spiritism of course).
Am i asking for this all at once? That is probably a bit much to ask; but if you could incrementally (and very soon) make changes in this direction; it would be much needed and appreciated.
