@Robmo much easier to write here.
So, as I always do before I talk, I would like to give some context. I am playing with friends, but we are duplicate spec on certain things. Why? Because those things would be a huge grabass to respec if someone quits or has to spend time away, etc. That is as unnecessary as 180 sec extraction timers, and this is what I propose.
First of all, reduce all book read times by A LOT. Some stuff should be instant read. There should be books like 'basic extraction' and 'basic crafting' that just get you up to a decent level in all of the skills you'd need. I would like to see most books take about 4 hours max and the most intense ones maybe 24 hours max. Remember, people are paying good money for this play time!
For respeccing, I believe you should be able to read back to 100 and the book should be pretty damn fast. Could make it so that if you have skimming skill, you can just respec instantly with the book. Why is it such a grabass to respec into something you already know? Sure, you would be out of practice, but it shouldn't take you thousands of spams or hundreds of hours of reading to remember.
Please consider this or, at least, the spirit of this. Thank you!
