Ok so nobody wants to mention this and i feel i gotta say something.

If you want to store stolen shit in the horse bags it won't let you till the "stolen" status is off the item.

Now this mechanic privates you from looting heavy stuff. Why? Cuz for example i wanna loot a stolen stack of ore and i gotta wait encumbred as fuck for the timer to go down, meaning that if i actually have to defend what i've stolen, can't delete stolen stuff and i won't be able to move either, and the only alternative is /droploot which sucks balls having to do that and regear prior to combat.

I doubt this is a "balance" intended mechanic and i think anyone should be able to store stolen shit in their horses. Do horses have a moral compass or am i missing something?

I fail to see any logic in this and i think it should be changed.

Similar problem was also discussed in Item Drop in Combat. If another bear hits you while you are looting a heavy corpse, you are stuck with the encumbrance. All these drop prevention mechanics should really be fixed. They get in the way of gameplay and are unrealistic.

not being able to drop loot without expunging all your gear in the process is pretty stupid. They need to allow the dropping of individual items. I get that a ton of bags can be generated from this but the solution is to reduce the timer on said dropped loot significantly without changing the timer on loot drops from slain players/creatures.

Yeah, dropping crim items and putting stolen shit in horsebags should be the right way to go.
