Server Queue Update

This is a repost from discord for all who are not on it. I well keep it updated for all to keep abreast of the information.

Right now we get a lot of DMs and questions regarding the login status and we understand your frustration, we ask you to read our update on this matter and that we cannot read all DMs we are getting sent to our devs, they need to focus on the development now and don’t want to ignore any question you may send us, but please understand that we need to focus on the issues to be able to solve it as soon as possible, so we ask everyone to follow our update sections on this matter. We are fully aware of all reports and issues currently. We will make sure we do regular updates on our progression so you can follow that on discord/website and on steam.
We suggest any new player remain on Haven until we have further updates with the transition to Myrland to be able to continue to play.

currently 24 hours in queue (reset about 5 times from crashes/freezes) was hoping i might get to play atleast 1 day on the weekend but does not seem like it

Unfortunately, maybe not. However by the sounds of things it should be fixed by midweek!

they can very easily fix it by rotating people out who are afk/macroing by resetting server every 6-8 hrs so everyone has an oppotunity to play

Also doesnt help since last patch you can crash out of the game and your character can be sitting at the bank for 6 hours before getting kicked from the game which is what happened to a guildie who was in.
Crashed out and his character was in game for 6 hours standing at the bank for 6 hrs before his character got booted where he couldnt log back in cause of it aswell as stopping anyone else getting in.

They reset the server earlier today, I'm not sure if their are plans to do it continuously each day, but they have already done it.

The other problem is we don't know exactly what the issue is. Just because you are in a queue doesn't mean servers are at capacity. The log in authentication could be clogged or there could be other issues. What I mean by that is, rotating people like that might not give anyone else the chance to play

It still boggles my mind that they had no backup plan for scaling their servers for launch.

The backup plan is in motion now in fact they brought on a team of network consultants to help alleviate the bottleneck in the network to get us all playing. Its frustrating we cant get to Myrland but just enjoy Haven and get your skills up and some reading done. You'll be better for it in Myrland that way

That is not a backup plan. That is a disaster response, there is a difference. A backup plan generally avoids disaster.

A back up, or contingency plan, is by definition a plan in place for if the first one fails. Disaster response is quite a contingency plan.

Anyway I don't wish to argue semantics with you. This thread is just for keeping people up to date on the forums for the discord not arguing about your own definitions of words . Have a good day
