First scroll of the El'ran Faith
Creation:
At the beginning there was nothing but the gods.Creation:
El'Ra saw the lack of creation as a waste and thus he lit the first fire.
In his wisdom he realized light was not enough so he asked the other gods to infuse more into creation.
Kol'tar gave creation rocks and metals, a sturdy setting to reflect his image.
Shuk'lar was angered by this and introduced the concept of water, a subtle yet raging force to drown and trickle over Kol'tars image and thus showing her supremacy.
Trey'lor woke up and decided they both should aspire higher and thus he created the skies to make sure both Kol'tar and Shuk'lar would be looking to him for guidance.
El'Ra liked what he saw but still believed it to be lacking so he asked Resh'ul for her input, Resh'ul thought long and hard about her answer.
When Resh'ul returned she had a new concept she called life, together El'Ra and Resh'ul created the first living being. The horse, a perfect being.
El'Ra infused the first horse with the first fire and the Sun was born.
Resh'ul continued her work, creativity soon lead to new forms of life.
First she created the animals, none as perfect as her first creation though.
Second she created vegetation to allow the animals to have a sense of purpose.
At this point she was satisfied with the world but the different animals did not yet feel purpose and asked El'Ra to plead with Resh'ul for more, he promised them he would.
El'Ra went to Resh'ul, pleading on behalf of the animals.
Resh'ul would have none of it. So cunningly she asked the impossible:
"renounce your vows and claims to both your companion and the world itself"
"marry me and you will have what you ask but know this"
"it will be more than you bargained for."
Saddened El'Ra returned to his companion Umbra, Umbra was enraged by the proposal of Resh'ul but found the wisdom in it. Umbra agreed to let El'Ra marry Resh'ul in return populating the world with with a sense of direction and purpose for all inhabitants.
Umbra's sacrifice turned into night and she still longs for the return to day to catch a glimpse of her beloved.
El'Ra fulfilling his promise returned to Resh'ul and the God's gathered for the celebration which lasted an eternity, during this time nature started to calm down since Kol'tar, Shuk'lar and Trey'lor had not a reason to squabble over petty affairs like mortal beings.
Resh'ul angered by having to sacrifice her freedom and creativity to uphold her part of the bargain started working. She created the sentient races to enslave the animals in retaliation.
First she created the savage Risars;
Second she created the cunning Alvaarins;
Third she created the stubborn Oghmir;
Fourth she created the greedy Humans;
Resh'ul saw the error in her ways almost immediatly and became estranged from the rest of the pantheon by her own will, in shame she retreated to the underworld.
Thus the concept of death was born, El'Ra wept for he could not change his promise.
Umbra did not stand by idly and found this as an excellent uppertunity to forever seal Resh'ul in her newfound domain, she asked the other gods to direct their attention in the creation of three silver chains one for each element and blessed them herself with divinity. Kol'tar, Shuk'lar and Trey'lon all rose to the occasion.
El'Ra looked out over the world and saw his brethren plotting, conspiring and bickering and he remembered Resh'uls warning.
El'Ra looked out over the world and saw the animals started to hunt and consume eachother and he remembered Resh'uls warning.
El'Ra looked out over the world and saw the sentient races killing, looting, pillaging at every turn and he remembered Resh'uls warning.
